Back on the my skis, and back on Blackcomb Mountain. YEAH!
The snow was pretty good for late April, and there were patches of almost fresh snow in the high Alpine. Sun, snow, and a companion, what more can you ask for!
My all weather Nikon 1 AW1 proved its worth this day, I took more than a few tumbles, but after a quick dust off, this camera kept taking good photos!
The majority of my pictures from the underwater camera did not turn out, even with 800 ISO film. Our torches weren't bright enough. In fact, this is the only "underwater" picture that I took that actually turned out (sorta).
What's a cenote? From Wikipedia:
"Cenote (pronounced in Spanish seh-no-teh and in English say-no-tay, plural: cenotes) is the name given in Central America and southern Mexico to a type of freshwater-filled limestone sinkhole. The name derives from a Mayan word, dz'onot. The term is also nowadays commonly used to describe similar karst features in other countries such as Australia, where they are commonly called simply sinkholes and contain deep non-flowing lakes of crystal-clear freshwater which attract cave divers from around the world."
