I put my iPhone in a ziploc bag and brought it in the pool with me ... I kind of like the blurry toy camera look.
He has to work in water for about 8-10 hours daily. that's why he wear this waterproof dress made with plastic sheet. don't know how much effective the idea is ... but he is working with full strength... may be not because of his so called water proof dress because of his waterproof soul.

I think he wasn't too happy I didn't have anything to feed him. There were a few geese and some ducks swimming in this pond right next to the road, so I pulled over to grab a couple quick shots. This goose and his buddy came tearing across the road and chased off all the others. Then he casually sauntered right up to me as if to say "where''s my food!"
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter today!
Experimenting with light sources to create dynamic shadows on this subject: a spalted teak hand-turned pen I got quite a few years ago. Teak can spalt but usually does not as it is quite weather-resistant due to the oils within the wood itself.
Spalting is when a soft or hard wood develops a type of fungal infection that affects the look of the wood (banding, splattering, darker spots on the wood). Given teak woods natural oils to repel natural attacks (water rot, insect, mold, and fungi), it doesn't happen often but it does show up in some stock wood pieces for wood-turning.
Image was taken with my Sony 50 mm macro lens at a 1:1 ratio. The light source is a Lume Cube (with a domed diffuser) about three inches away from the pen tip so some light was spilling on the side of the pen closest to the lens. I've been very pleased with the Lume Cube for the projects I've used it on. It is a fairly versatile light source that pushes out just the right amount of lumens for the project. And it's waterproof!!
The bokeh behind the pen was not intentional but given the short physical distance between the subject and the lens, it is not surprising that some "pleasing circles" showed up.
Technically, this shot leaves a lot to be desired, but it was more the being there that makes it for me. :~)

This DeHaviland DHC2 "Beaver" is landing in one of the lakes that form "Big Lakes River" that feeds Redoubt Bay off of the Cook Inlet. I chose this for this topic because the floats must be waterproof to support the airplane on top of the water. I caught this as we were given a sightseeing trip around the lake after our bear viewing came to an end (all the bears left).
White-winged Scoter male close-up at the marina. (My wife Susan just pointed out that it looks like he has another bird head growing out of his face… quite true!)

So this week's Macro Monday's theme is a member's choice: 'wet', which for whatever reason made me think of my golfing waterproof's - designed to keep me from getting wet. I trust the photo still makes the grade ;-)
Good job my footwear is waterproof. These are my second pair of Englebert Strauss "S3 Safety shoes Willingen".
They are the most comfortable work shoes I have ever used, hence the purchasing of a second pair when the first pair wore out after 6 years of hard use.
The shoe have an impressive specification. Its so nice to know that you have an abrasion resistant hiking PUR sole, anti-static, fuel resistant and heat-resistant up to approx. 170 °C.
