This one came in a batch of cameras a while ago, unused, exp. date 2008.
It had a ISO800 film inside, we used it on vacation in the swimming pool with the kids, and it really was watertight, not one single drop got inside!

Not anymore... well, I have this wristwatch for many years now, I should know I can't go to the pool with it :)
This is not out of focus, it's fog inside :)
First test with Canon MR14-EX Ring Lite, you can see the ring on the small drops. No reflections, nice! See it large.

Não está fora de foco, está embaçado por causa da água por dentro mesmo :)
Primeiro teste com o Canon MR14-EX Ring Lite, você pode ver o círculo nas pequenas gotas. Sem reflexos, legal! Veja maior.

123 Pictures in 2023 #113 "Waterproof"
This DeHaviland DHC2 "Beaver" is landing in one of the lakes that form "Big Lakes River" that feeds Redoubt Bay off of the Cook Inlet. I chose this for this topic because the floats must be waterproof to support the airplane on top of the water. I caught this as we were given a sightseeing trip around the lake after our bear viewing came to an end (all the bears left).

This picture was taken during swimming practice, while Andre was doing his butterfly. This picture is spontaneous because it shows the spontaneity of swimming. I really like this picture because it shows the spontaneity of a swimmer when he does butterfly. This picture is balanced because there are lane lines on both sides of the image. The swimmer is also framed between the lines which makes the subject stand out. The lights from the ceiling which are reflected onto the water, have a nice effect of reflection. I find that because this picture was taken right before the swimmer put his head back into the water it gives the person looking at the picture the feeling the swimmer is flying. I like this picture a lot because there are many different factors that make it a nice picture, the best factor is the water splashing behind the swimmer. This gives the subject an objective. Also the empty space at the bottom of the picture gives the feeling that the swimmer is moving forward. There are also many lines on the bottom of the pool which brings the person who is looking at the picture directly to the subject. This spontaneous picture shows how natural swimmers are in their environment.
