Yes, it comes from the same image, indeed it is the same image cut and worked differently in tone and light.

You can choose, if you want, the one you prefer....but that's not the truth either,

or rather the original image, which I had however textured before ; ))) you have no chance : ))))

Spandau Ballet - True

I hated this song for a long time, I couldn't listen to it anymore, I classified it in the unbearable 80's context, and maybe it's still unbearable for you, but today I liked it....getting older makes strange effects, sometimes ; )))

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

In Brazil’s Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, seasonal tropical rains create a rare phenomenon: freshwater lagoons nestled between vast white sand dunes. Though the landscape resembles a desert, it receives heavy rainfall from January to June. The water collects in wind-carved hollows, forming crystal-clear basins that last for a few months, transforming the arid terrain into a shimmering mosaic of sand and water.

This image captures one of those lagoons under a vibrant blue sky scattered with cumulus clouds. The deep blue water reflects the sky, framed by smooth, curving dunes. The contrast between the bright sand and the dark water creates a striking visual harmony. A moment of stillness in a landscape shaped by rain, wind, and light.

In the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in northeastern Brazil, tropical rains transform the hollows between dunes into freshwater lagoons each year. This fleeting phenomenon, visible for only a few months, results from rainwater collecting in sandy valleys, creating a rare landscape where the apparent desert becomes a network of crystal-clear basins. In this early morning image, a calm lagoon rests between wind-sculpted rippled dunes. The clear sky, fading from yellow to deep blue, bathes the scene in soft, silent light. The clear water contrasts with the pale sand, revealing a fragile harmony between the elements. A suspended moment in a world shaped by rain and wind.

In the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park near Barreirinhas, tropical rains transform the hollows between dunes into freshwater lagoons each year. This fleeting phenomenon, visible for only a few months, creates a unique landscape where white sand and turquoise water coexist in silent harmony. In this sunset image, a lagoon winds between golden dunes, reflecting the warm glow of the sky. Two birds cross the horizon in flight, adding life to this peaceful scene shaped by water, wind, and light. A suspended moment in a desert that isn’t truly a desert.

Taken close to the Nature centre at Fetsund Lenser - a national heritage monument and timberfloating museum. The "paths" (flåteganger) are made of wood and chained together and floats on the water. One can walk on the water using these. When timber was transported along the rivers, Fetsund Lenser was in charge of sorting the timber and make sure it got to the right owners and the mills. The workers used these water paths to get out to the timber on the river.

blocked -- Jan 2011 at Purbasthali Oxbow Lake Kasthosali Pokhiraloy Chupisaar Chupirchaar.

Due to huge increase in water plant population & decrease water flow from river ganga in Purbasthali Oxbow Lake , approx 30% area of the lake has became inaccessible by boat.

If we don't take any action now , the lake will die soon........
