This is another photograph by the Belgian photographer Leonard Misonne and dates from 1899, it shows the view from Lower Regent Street junction with Waterloo Place looking south across Pall Mall to the Duke of York Column. The Guards Crimean War Memorial is in the centre and the Athenaeum Club is at top right. The building on the left was demolished in 1909 and replaced with Cox's Bank, that same building is now a hotel.

Buffer stops at Waterloo

Another view of Waterloo station with two of the more interesting units that South West Trains operate rather then the familiar Desiro units. In the foreground of the shot is a SWT Class 458 unit No. 8026 setting off with 2C45 the 15:20 service to Reading. In the background the only diesel presence at Waterloo is seen in the form of a Class 159, No. 159010 departs with 1L45 the 15:20 Exeter St Davids service.

Miranda F, 50mm f/1.9, Fujicolor Superia Xtra 400. This is the first roll I've put through the Miranda F and I am really pleased with the look and feel of the images, especially as it hasn't got a light meter! I used a combination of an iPhone app and guess work aided by a lot of beginners luck to get the correct exposures.

I took three shots shots in this location as various people passed.
