This is ranked as the 10th most beautiful waterfall in the world
It's situated at Åkrafjorden on our way to Haugesund
It is a scenic waterfall located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan
The falls' total height is 20 metres (66 ft) and 40 metres (130 ft) in width, making it the broadest waterfall in Taiwan.
Shifen Waterfall is a cascade-type waterfall similar to North America's Niagara Falls, earning it the nickname of "Taiwan's Niagara Falls."
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is impressive all year round but in winter it becomes quite special with strong gusts moving the fall around and the spray making it almost impossible to get a clean shot :)
I visited Skipton Castle in September and heard running water, through a window there, from the valley below. I thought this was strange as there is a canal below the castle. I decided to investigate the source of this water on leaving the castle. I headed along the canal to find a river running parallel with the canal and into the river flowed this waterfall. It didn't look much at first but I thought it would make a good long exposure shot. I didn't have any ND filters with me at the time or a tripod. I had to set the aperture to f22 to restrict the light coming into the camera and slow the shutter speed, Then basically placed the camera on the path floor and set a two second timer. I was more than pleased with the finished result.
A well photographed waterfall from our day trip to North Wales. I'm trying to improve my landscape technique at the moment after a day out with our friend and accomplished landscape photographer John Starkey. The weather forecast was completely wrong, so we didn't manage to do as much as we'd hoped, but the walk through the woods to this little waterfall was lovely.
We were enjoying the tranquillity of the location until someone on the adjacent estate started blasting away with a shotgun at regular intervals, oh well....

... while hiking in Ricketts Glen. This is in addition to the major waterfalls that are named there.
The waterfall is located at a deserted area, 40 km from Dalat. It's one of the largest and widest waterfalls in Vietnam and during the wet season is a magnificent sight.
Leaving Buttermere (for now), we headed down the Honister Pass on our way to Derwent Water, but on the way, we stopped off on the side of the road and had a little wander around a tiny stretch of river. Despite most of the rivers around the lakes being very low, this little spot was in full flow.
It was a bit of a scramble down, and if you were to drive past you would never see this place. It reminds me of Venford Falls on Dartmoor a bit, a true hidden gem.
Unfortunately the branches that I sed to use for framing have snapped off (I suspect as a result of the flash flood a month or so ago), however its back to its usual peace and tranquility now.
I know this is something of a repeat subject in my stream - but this actually the first one I've taken of here in a year (even if it is the second I've uploaded in the last fortnight!).
