Limer les falaises.
.
.
On a bétonné l’écume,
.
On a foré la nuit, chauffé le ciel,
appelé ça croissance.
.
On a cru la mer décorative,
docile, rentable.
.
Les tempêtes ne sont pas des colères.
Ce sont des réponses.
.
L’eau se souvient,
elle grignote.
.
Et pendant qu’un homme glisse
dans la gorge verte d’une vague,
le niveau monte,
lent, précis,
incontestable.
.

Somtimes silence can be the loudest thing.

I saw the sky changing as I was driving home and decided to make a run to the beach for the sunset. As I was driving down the hill, I had a view of the ocean in front of me and the sun was a fiery ball just about to disappear under the horizon. I almost turned around thinking by the time I found a parking place the event would be over. But I was wrong (not the first time). I lucked out parking right by the sand and the sky was ablaze. A blanket of serenity descended upon me, the anxiety of the day washed away, and I was able to have a photo shoot I will long remember.
Another shot from last week when it was so very hot...we had this cold snap the last few days...but today is just perfect....I'm going out to shoot .........

The 120th edition of the Kottayam Boat Race, which marks the second leg of the first Champions Boat League (CBL), held on 07 SEP 2019.
Kottayam Boat Race, more popular as the Thazhathangadi Vallamkali, taking place in the Meenachil river every year. The competition traces its beginning in the existing form to 1888-90 period, when the then Diwan Peshkar (district collector) T. Rama Rao organised the regatta. The Diwan categorised the boats for the event as Chundans, Veppus, Irittukuthis and Churulans. For various reasons boat race had an abrupt end in 1986. After 12 years it was restarted. There was a time when the boat race attracted the attention star guests like the former Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Salassie, who had instituted a trophy.
