The design was hand drawn by me while visiting the very interesting and wonderful ceramics department of the Victoria & Albert museum in London. The "Ceramic Study" cushion shows the original coffee service used on Finnair flights during the 1970s. The set has a beautiful pattern and I just fell in love with it. Sewn together in the Mengsel studio.

We we're invited by the nice people at TYPE to take part in their 'House of Caslon' event on Wednesday 5th May. We designed a special Caslon poster and tee which we printed up live throughout the day. All prints were available to buy for just £10
"Type is once again collaborating with the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design at Birmingham City University on the production of a new project: 'The House of Caslon'. This is a short animation about the life, work and influences of another of the region's typographic alumni: William Calson I, who was born in Cradley in 1692."
Production on the animation has now commenced all typographers, lettering artists, calligraphers, cartoonists, illustrators, musicians and other creatives will participate in a day of filming. Artists will be recorded whilst creating work of their choosing which has been produced in celebration of Caslon the man or the typeface.
Filming is scheduled for Wednesday 5 MAY 2010, 1000-1600 and will take place at the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design, Corporation Street, Gosta Green, Birmingham B4 7DX.
