This is the Mirai Pulse clock. I'm currently digging through the developer docs to see if there is a way to keep the screen always on in WatchOS 3.

Up until now there has never been an Apple Watch charging dock for folks who appreciate Japanese culture and cute things - Mirai Pulse changes this first world problem.
I picked up the Apple Watch after watching the Keynote on WatchOS 3 and decided to get one. After playing around with it for a while and thinking about the Smart Watch market, I saw a trend where the manufacturers are mostly marketing their wearable machines as a health device.
Smart Watches are essentially computers sized down to fit in a watch. What makes the Apple Watch special however is that the form is not hindered by protruding lugs like all other Smart Watches out there - this makes the Apple Watch's rounded rectangle perfect to be put in other places - who said it had to be worn on a wrist?

Siri is a virtual assistant part of Apple Inc.'s iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS operating systems. The assistant uses voice queries and a natural-language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of Internet services. The software adapts to users' individual language usages, searches, and preferences, with continuing use. Returned results are individualized.
One of the more notorious examples was made public last year during the murder trial of a 20-year-old Florida man who reportedly told Siri, “I need to hide my roommate” and in return was given a list of potential places to get rid of a body, such as swamps, reservoirs, metal foundries, and dumps. (The same inquiry now returns the cheeky response, “I used to be able to answer this question.”)

ABOARD USS NIMITZ (Oct. 12, 1997) -- Demonstrating the inherent mobility and flexibility of the forward deployed Navy aircraft carrier battle group, the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) is now operating in the Persian Gulf region. USS Nimitz will remain on station in the gulf to enforce United Nations sanctions against Iraq, by patrolling the ÒNo-FlyÓ zone during operation ÒSouthern-WatchÒ. The carrier battle group was directed to the Gulf early by the Secretary of Defense, after Iraqi planes breached the zone several times in the last week. Nimitz joins other naval forces already operating in the region. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 2nd Class Matthew J. MaGee. (RELEASED)
Madrigal triste
¿Qué me importa que seas casta? Sé bella y triste.
Las lágrimas aumentan de tu faz el encanto.
Reverdece el paisaje de la fuente al quebranto;
¡Oh voluptuosid8ldes profundas y divinas!
¡Salmo de los deleites entonado en sollozos!
Tus ojos, como perlas, son fuegos misteriosos
con que las interiores penumbras iluminas.
Tu corazón es fragua; la pasión insepulta
como ascua inextinta, dispersa su destello;
y a tu amor me encadenas perversa y temblorosa,
decirme desde el antro de la noche morbosa,
con el alma en un grito: Yo soy tú mismo, ¡oh Rey!

Having transitioned from Microsoft to Apple and Palm Pilot many years ago now, for the most part I have been an early adopter with respect to the iPhone. This time around, not so much, especially with the Canadian dollar - Us $ premium between 25 & 30%!.
No 12:01 a.m. pre-order for me. Instead I opted to research rumours, hands on and insider opinions. What with new technology, production problems, as well as the smaller size (holding with one hand), no home button, etc., I concluded that the X was not for me for now.
I opted for the 8+ and Apple Watch Series 3 With Built-In Cellular Support (I had held out until this series).
Opening the box, I was happy to see that the battery had not popped the body. The only heating problem occurred with the setup phase, including iCloud backup. This was the first time for me to have both the 7+ and the 8+ side by side, where the app detected and transferred al apps and setup with out any hiccups. Apps requiring passwords had to be updated, but all data was retained.
Lensun screen protector applied and Otterbox Symmetry series attached. The latter paid for itself yesterday when getting out my car, the phone fell out of my jacket onto the pavement (on the bottom right backside corner - would the glass have cracked without the case?).
The X remains of interest to me in that the that both lenses re stabilized, the telephoto is 2.4, and the screen is 2436-by-1125-pixel resolution at 458 ppi
1,000,000:1 contrast ratio (typical).

My lovely, loving significant other is amazing. She went out and got me an #AppleWatch for #Christmas (she claims at a deep discount, which is fine by me). Right now it's updating to #WatchOS 2.1. Now that I've got one I want to program it and explore how it works.
"Watcho" Seamaster 300, originally released in the 1960s, recreated here from later-manufacture replacement parts and a cal.552 movement from a period Omega Geneve.
If Apple’s naming scheme was commencing to hassle you (with iOS, tvOS and watchOS functioning beneath distinctive naming guidelines from OS X), fret no more. As the firm announced right now, OS X is obtaining a new identify that brings order to Apple’s nomenclature.

Apple #Watch Series 5 is available in the market and there are a number of people who have used it enough to review its performance. And as far as we can tell, this watch has proved to be exactly what the #Apple Watch users have been waiting for. The always-on display of this watch is something that was long overdue. If you regularly turn your wrist to watch time, this is the watch that you can go for.
The major upgrades of this watch include:
•A compass which displays data based on Magnetometer. It helps you know the right direction.
•An international SOS trigger
•Premium titanium and ceramic finishes, which are obviously more expensive
If you compare this watch with the previous versions, you will find that the display of this watch is a killer feature.
What an always-on feature mean?
An always-on display allows you to view something that you want to see quickly only by turning the wrist towards your face. It doesn’t only display time. It can show you the weather status and the position of the sun. This watch is equipped with the latest operating system, #WatchOS 6. And there are 34 watch faces available by default. And these several watch faces have hundreds of variations. It means that there are plenty of ways you can customize the watch’s display to find the right watch face according to your preferences.
The screen of this watch is based on OLED display which is quicker in slowing and dimming the display whenever needed. Another feature of this watch is that it is equipped with the sensors that auto-adjust screen brightness based on lighting in the surroundings. It would be quite interesting if Apple includes this feature in iPhones because majority of Apple users look at the iPhone screens to view time and date.
Some quick features of this watch’s always-on display are worth mentioning here.
•The battery life of the watch remains unaffected with always-on display but it this life surely increases when the display is off. There is an 18-hour battery life promised by Apple for this watch. #OLED ensures minimum battery power consumption only for display.
•This always-on feature is only for the watch faces and workout app. It means that other apps are not going to be displayed for indefinite period of time. It is actually good because you will be able to maintain your privacy in better way.
•The always-on display is going to work only when the watch is on your wrist. The back of the watch senses the skin and turns the display on. When the watch is off the wrist or is put on charging, the display is going to remain off.
