MANASSAS, Va. (Sept. 17, 2025) Charles J. Colgan High School Sharks girls flag football team defeated Battlefield High School Bobcats 24-6 Wednesday in the second game of a doubleheader, following an earlier 32-0 win over Osbourn Park High School. Colgan built an early lead and maintained control throughout the match. The Sharks are now 3-0 on the season following a victory over Patriot High School on Monday. This season marks the inaugural year for girls flag football in Prince William County, with 12 of 13 high schools fielding teams. The league is sponsored by the Washington Commanders and supported by local schools to provide new athletic opportunities for young women. Photo by Damon J. Moritz
