I recently found this snap I took of our beautiful friend Ann before setting off to the Royal Caledonian Ball in 1987. Her glamorous ball gown, borrowed from M because of a food accident affecting her own, was not ideal for the energetic scottish reels but enhanced the the evening by adding a sense of uncertainty and expectation – which was fulfilled at several points!
Fortunately photography was not allowed at the event (so the Royals could "let their hair down") so there is no record...
This was a picture taken last year of Asha with her new Bat Wings. I was so disappointed with the Bat Wings when I did this wee shoot as to me it didn't look right at all. Only after doing the shoot did I realise I had the wings on back to front or upside down I still don't know yet... lol. I eventually worked this out and did another shoot with the wings on the right way. This picture is uploaded especially for Ursula, when I told her I did a shoot with Asha with the wings on upside down last year she asked me to upload one of the pictures as she thought it so funny. I didn't get around to doing it last year but I had her in mind when uploading this one.

I must admit that I only popped into the National Maritime as I was desperate for the loo. I ended up spending a bit of time wandering around and decided that I need to go back and have a proper look as it proved far more interesting than I imagined.
I'm rather puzzled by the figurehead on the right here given according to Wikipedia the sculpture is meant to communicate the name of the ship....... Surely there wasn't a ship called 'Wardrobe Malfunction Medusa'........ When I return I'll check and let you know.

From Wikipedia, "During the period from the 17th to the 18th centuries the carved subjects of figureheads varied from representations of saints to patriotic emblems such as the unicorns or lions popular on English ships. When the ship was named after a royal or naval personage the head and bust of the individual might be shown.
As with the stern ornamentation, the purpose of the figurehead was often to indicate the name of the ship in a non-literate society (albeit in a sometimes very convoluted manner); and always, in the case of naval ships, to demonstrate the wealth and might of the owner. At the height of the Baroque period, some ships boasted gigantic figureheads, weighing several tons and sometimes twinned on both sides of the bowsprit.
A large figurehead, being carved from massive wood and perched on the very foremost tip of the hull, adversely affected the sailing qualities of the ship. This, and cost considerations, led to figureheads being made dramatically smaller during the 18th century, and in some cases they were abolished altogether around 1800."

Nabilla Benattia showed off all her curves and couldn't stop adjusting her bikini as she filmed scenes for a French TV show called 'Hollywood Girls' on a beach in Los Angeles. The famous French model and reality star fashioned a revealing black bikini as she ran towards the sea and was pictured shouting in distress as she filmed along the coast. She also nearly showed off a bit too much in her tiny bikini top but adjusted before any real wardrobe malfunction happened. She was also pictured holding hands and flirting with a producer and also walking with an co-star as she wrapped herself in a towel. The show 'Hollywood Girls' is being filmed for the French NRJ12 network.

A neighbor walking under a long, covered passageway felt safe enough to adjust some kind of "wardrobe malfunction." I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have undertaken the enterprise if he'd seen me first!

For the group six word story.
It's Jesse's birthday, and we're down in North Cove after some drinking and sailing. As we amble back east, a steam vent in the sidewalk gusts, and Larisa's skirt flies skyward.
The camera wasn't ready for that one, so clearly we need to recreate the moment for posterity.
Behind me, watching with obvious interest and amusement, two teen boys are zipping back and forth on skateboards. As we pass, they look abstractedly at their boards.
"You guys picked a good spot, right?" I say to one of them.
He nods. "Yup."
While I was drawing Greedo Shot First a friend and I were talking to about wardrobe malfunctions.
Even though the Marylin Monroe dress scene from the 7 Year Itch in 1955 was scripted and staged we still think it qualifies as the original wardrobe malfunction.
I did no photo reference on this so I'm sure it's all sorts of incorrect, but this is my memory of the scene.
