100x outdoor adventures #44 and Sliders Sunday
A favourite place to visit, Wallington is another jewel in Northumberland's crown boasting huge grounds, an amazing set of gardens and lake as well this hall which is processed in ye olde Affinity photo and Nik Efex. HSS, everybody! :)
Another from Wallington Hall. This little guy was so relaxed that he/she wasn't worried by my movement, although I didn't try to get super close.
The Clocktower and cafe
On Tuesday we visited the grounds of Wallington hall. We’re National Trust members, so had nothing to pay for either car parking or walking the beautiful grounds and walled garden.
We had made the visit initially in order to see the red squirrels that are reportedly in the woods there; unfortunately since the violent storms last November only one red squirrel has been seen. We were unlucky and didn’t see any. We did see a grey squirrel, and we saw a deer, and a heron too.

A recent wander around Wallington Hall in Northumberland (the grounds, rather than the hall itself) where Spring sunshine was definitely at a premium.
A bit sad to see the conservatory in the Walled Garden looking the worse for wear and now closed to the public.
It was built in the early 1900's and has now reached the point where it has structural issues.
Experts are now looking at what can be done and whether it can be saved.

An awesome place to visit in the North of England. Apologies for the lack of activity, but lots going on at the moment so I'll be in and out over the next few weeks as I undertake a couple of projects.
Fog evokes mystery and mysticism at times, many find fog rather disheartening, but I’ve always found play between fog and light amazing. Add reflections to that and in my opinion it always makes for interesting images, like this one of the Passaic River in New Jersey taken on the Wallington side of the river. The way the silhouettes of the trees reflect on the waters of the Passaic River is wonderful and reminds one of a time when the urban blight of the city on the other side of the river, Passaic wasn’t the principal factor that most associate this area with. Years of conservation after close to 100 years of toxic pollutants being poured unknowingly in the river by the many plants that lined the river during the Industrial Revolution are starting to slowly turn things around. Beautiful crocuses at Wallington Hall in Northumberland, England. The mild weather has brought out the crocuses much earlier than normal - especially compared to last year!
Gregory Avenue Bridge that spans the Passaic River connecting the city of Passaic in Passaic County to the town of Wallington in Bergen County New Jersey is a 245 foot metal multiple-type-connected Pratt through truss bridge that was built in 1906 by the Owego Bridge Company of Owego New York. The machinery and control booth that allowed the entire span to swing to allow boat passage was removed in 1985 and the span was refreshed and rehabilitated subsequently in 1989. A foggy and rainy December afternoon, I saw the bridge and decided to take advantage of blue hour. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america#lumixlx100ii @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful @panasonic @lumix
A different perspective of the Gregory Avenue Bridge that spans the Passaic River connecting the city of Passaic in Passaic County to the town of Wallington in Bergen County New Jersey. The eerie fog and rain created a mystic mood that blue hour as I pulled off of New Jersery State Route 21 to snap off a few frames from several perspectives. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #lumixlx100ii @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful @panasonic @lumix @microfourthirdsgallery #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography
