A 1950s interior shot showing a tube radio set decorated with an artificial Christmas tree, a burning candle, two pinecones, and a terracotta deer by Wormser Terra Sigillata. A wall clock, a patterned curtain, and the depiction of an Alpine landscape can also be found in this corner of a German middle-class living room.

Mailed from East Northfield, Massachusetts to Alice Haze in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 20, 1961:

As I told Mrs. B, I am staying on my low calorie diet!!! I got weighed on their scales and I won't dare get on Friday! We have hour same rooms. A big pile of snow at the front door. There is a chilly wind out but it is clear and lovely.

Valcon Lane in Auckland city. In a pub called "The Occidental", Don't go rushing there to see the deer head though. That was gone the last time I was there. The food was still great.

Yup, that's a mini Tuxedo Sam phone! Other favorites of the Sanrio Vintage Mini set are

the Hello Kitty desk lamp, and the teeny tiny pen.

Too bad the paper file and My Little Twin Star diary don't open up

with real paper (unlike the Re-ment spiral notebooks), but still cute,

nonetheless. :)

*I bought this because Café Rouge didn't want to serve me...*

I found this fantastic looking clock in a cute little secondhand / vintage bookstore in the back of 'The Art of Tea' in Didsbury, which is where Anna and I headed after waiting in Café Rouge for more than 15 minutes failing to get served, even after I wandered over to the bar and asked to place an order...

'The Art of Tea' is amazing and I also just discovered that there is a guy right at the back of the store who does framing as well. Three stores in one is rather impressive. If you haven't been there, I strongly recommend you visit!

Go for the carrot cake it's luscious...

when you're having fun!

One word, vintage.

The word for this round is Vintage, and the event opens on May 1st until May 31st. The vintage clock is fully functional, and can be set for different time zones.

This German wall clock, with oak case and beveled plate glass, was purchased for $10 at a garage sale several years ago. The couple I bought it from had been school teachers on a US Military base in Germany during the 1950's. They had bought it while there at a rummage sale. They told me that it did not run. I took the movement out and found that the escapement had come apart. This probably shook loose during transport, at some point. I had everything back together in a few minutes and it now runs fine, chimes, and keeps excellent time.

There is no maker's name evident on this clock.

Barbara's house is a plethora of photo ops.

Taken with iPhone 6s, cropped square in Snapseed, final edit in Hipstamatic using Helga Viking lens, Blanko film, and Tasty Pop flash. Watermarked with Impression app.

A wall timepiece that keeps brilliant time.

Personally, I prefer to pretend I'm a bit posher than 'cave dwellers, and call it my office -- but my missus insists on constantly calling it a (expletive deleted) mess.

P.S. On the floor behind my chair is my current "in-tray".

(Well, I eventually will get round to it but, I've been very bloomin' busy. And, not feeling so hot lately either. )
