During our quick backyard walk I took this photo of Shizandra daydreaming. I wondered if she was thinking, gee I'd love to live somewhere cooler! I know I sure was thinking that. I know she will love living in Vermont where the summers are so much cooler than they are here in New Mexico. She sure loved the snow when we got it last winter.
These are pictures I took on a photo walk with Ren Bostelaar and friends, to celebrate the completion of the JustHundred.com project.
One of the nicest days of the summer today and after my depressing round of golf I went for a wander to use my 10stop filter and try and get some clouds moving. Typically, by the time I got to somewhere nice the sky was clear so I resorted to trying to find nice light and blurred water.
The light coming through this tunnel was superb and I tried to capture it as best possible-quite hard with the trees etc and moving water
Still, was a nice day!

Afternoon sun lights a ghost gum on the Kings Creek Walk, Kings Creek, Northern Territory, Australia.
On the first day after the solstice, we droove to Folkestone, parked at Wear Bay, then walked down the steps to the promenade.
It was high tide, and the sea angry enough still to attract a few surfer dudes. Indeed one passed us after getting changed in his car, passing Jools and I on the steps.
this was a few weekends ago, going out with mr twiggs and mr kobe, for a walk in our neighbourhood, catching some sun (it was actually pretty hot this day) and testing my new roll of film!

The next photo puts this finger of rock in context. There's a beaten path to the end of it!

Mad dogs and Englishmen and all that.
Setting off at half three for a walk along the cliffs, ending up at the Zetland Arms.
It was warm when we set out, but cooler than the day previously, and with a light breeze to make things a slight cooler still.
Of course this meant another walk down and up The Dip, along to the top of Otty Bottom Road before striking out over the fields to the Monument.
From there it was pretty much downhill all the way, along the cliffs to Kingsdown, along the Leas past the golf club; it was even too hot for golfers, apparently.
We arrived at the pub and quickly had a pint of ice cold beer each, well earned.
Up at half five, and then I turn downt he chance to have the car for the day, deciding instead to go for a long walk along the cliffs to Kingsdown.
Due to the knee-deep mud in the Dip, I had to go down and up Station Road before cutting up through the village.
The bales still have yet to be collected, making me think I could have spent an extra half hour in bed that Sunday morning last month when I scrambled up early to snap them after the harvester had finished.
Through the village, passing by a few friendly locals, then turning off down a little-used path, cutting across the edge of fields towards the cliffs.
