A view from the very picturesque Holy Island, taken on our recent break to Northumberland. We were extremely lucky weather wise, we had some lovely sunshine and barely any rain! Lots of new photos to edit and share.

I don't often do sun bursts, but thought I'd give it a go when I saw the beautiful light shining through the trees in our local woods.

Happy weekend all. 🌹❤️

Golitha Falls, at Liskeard, taken a couple of days into our holiday, such a beautiful tranquil place.

Back home safely yesterday, we decided to do the return journey over 2 days and stayed at a holiday inn for the night. Still exhausted. We had an absolutely wonderful holiday.

Think he was giving me the bum deal? 😂

Had an hour in the local woods yesterday, the sun had been shining nicely all morning, but the light was in and out when I left the house (typcial) Manage to get a few shots, then it snowed for just a few moments. Certainly was cold enough out there. Managed to capture the moment it was coming down and luckily the light was out at the same time.

Met up with Martin (www.flickr.com/photos/shanemax) for a shoot and a catch up in Durham City recently. A great day out.

This is the wonderful cottage on Prebends bridge at the riverside.

Another from the archives. Haven't really done much shooting since returning from Cornwall end of August, other than a day in Durham and doing some marco in the garden. So, I've been going through images taken as far back as a year, and realising just how many I have that are worth editing. Maybe back then I wasn't as confident in my LR skills.

I still have many Cornwall images left to share, you won't all get away with it that easily 😂😂

Have a wonderful new week, all 😍🌹

A fairy enchanting afternoon at beautiful Golitha Falls. ❤️

…But Can You Lick Your Own Nose?!!! 😂

The third and final image from our recent photo challenge, while we had the builders in. The good news, they have ‘finished the job’. The bad news, they missed a bit and will need to return to complete it. Luckily it only looks like an hours work. We have been left with utter devastation to deal with. They were very shoddy and careless while working. I will at some point soon go into more detail. At the moment we now need to deal with the aftermath, Antonio has a week off college next week, so fingers crossed we can make this house a home again in time for next week. Have a lovely week, my friends.

(Recently, being fed up of both being stuck in to keep an eye on the building work going on, we set each other a challenge. Both to go to the local woods separately and capture 3 scenes of our choice. I took the 28-300mm and the macro lens out, Daniel took the prime lenses 50mm and 85mm. This is one of the shots I decided upon. Unfortunately the woods were full of beer bottles and cans 😡 So I opted to do a sheep shoot in the field next to the woods. This is the first image selected to post.

The following three are Danny's 'efforts' 😂 Absolutely beautiful shots and gorgeous bokeh, and no litter in the frame. my favourite being 'Let there be light' for the tasty bokeh and lens flare.

A Cornish creature, captured in The Lost Gardens of Heligan. A friendly little guy, kept popping over to say hello ( Dydh da) and sat on Antonio’s knee for a rest. Even the dragonflies are friendly in Cornwall. 😍

A capture taken at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. We really loved this place and will definitely return for some wintry scenes when we go back in December. (Sorry, back to Cornwall posts again )

What a stunning place this was, so tranquil and beautiful. Unfortunately, a few too many tourists so it was difficult to get a shot without the human element. I don’t mind this particular one though 😂. We will definitely return to Golitha Falls in the winter, the light in Cornwall is meant to be something else at that time of year. Hopefully less tourists as well. A good weekend, dear Flickr friends. ❤️😍

Can’t believe it’s been over 3 years since I started my journey with nature and photography before the start of lockdown, a lot has happened since then, some good, some not so good, but my passion for photography has never left me, and it helped me to get through lockdown. I ended up in the news, both in the papers and on the TV 3 times during mental health weeks, 2020, 21 and 22, advocating the benefits of nature to your mental health. I still have my battles but I feel stronger than I was 3 years ago. Thanks to Danny for his support and for putting up with my craziness. 😂😍

Photo was taken on Saturday at Cassop Vale Nature reserve in Durham, a place that I visited so many times during the lockdown, for some nature therapy.

Love to all for your support and encouragement over the last 3 years. ❤️❤️

This is a 'follow-up' picture of my thoughts, prayers and actions for people who are - for whatever reason - being held prisoners. Even if they have 'paid for their debts' over and over, even when they are remorseful and have changed for good, they are hardly ever 'forgiven' by society. How can we let people judge who may live and who will die when God himself is loving, forgiving and generous?

What occupies my mind particularly, is the fact that they too, in order to enter into a state of forgiveness, of light and happiness, they must both forgive and be forgiven. What if one side cannot forgive? They can and will never be free...

Today, on 11/11/, is a Day of Remembrance for many countries; but do WE also forgive, or 'only' remember?

I am not into politics but I am human and therefore want human beings having human rights, ALL of them.
