The Queen's Walk is a promenade located on the southern bank of the River Thames in London, England, between Lambeth Bridge and Tower Bridge.

The creation of pedestrian access along the south bank of the Thames was seen as an integral part of the creation of the Jubilee Walkway to mark the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. However, the last section was not established until the completion of construction of London Bridge City c.1990

In 1996, the Walk was recognised as a foundation for establishing the Thames Path national trail through London.

This is a convenient route of several miles for tourists to walk from the London Eye Ferris wheel past numerous attractions to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

A lovely walk along the orchards. Montenaken, Belgium

Couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this ocean sponge that washed up after the last winter storm on my local beach. I liked the figure in the background. She had walked past the forlorn sponge.

An attempt at street photography on the Marschallbrücke, one of the many heritage-protected bridges across the Spree in Berlin's government district. This bridge is located at the heart of the government district, with many of the most important government buildings (particularly the Reichstag building, the seat of our government) within walking distance.

On a sunny afternoon, the bridge's railing creates a nice shadow play. This was the day before the heatwave started, so many people were out and about, enjoying a work break or simply the sunny weather. I still managed to get a few shots of the empty bridge with only the shadows, but found the "human element" made it more interesting. I was kneeling to get a low POV and fill most of the frame with the shadow patterns, and when I saw a woman approach, I decided to include her walking legs ;) This also spared me from having to anonymise her face.

In case you are wondering what the round shadow behind the lady's shadow is: It's from a lifebuoy on the bridge's railing.

Happy Monochrome Thursday, dear Flickr friends!

I took this Shot basicly just to do some trials with High ISO on my X-T30 camera a couple Days ago during a Biking-Tour. This tiny inchworm seemed to do a catwalk. It looked so cool and funny to me that i thought i might share it with you :)
