This week a bit over zero temperature and sunny, so the small tortoiseshells (Aglais urticae) Nässelfjärilar - have been sunbathing and trying out their wings after the long winter in my attic.
It was a wonderful sunrise over the calm waters of the main channel of Lake Powell near Halls Crossing marina. If I felt any grogginess it soon left as the color and rays of morning appeared!

As the sun was about to show itself in the wonder valley of Jalkhad, it is about time to go for a small hike along the river Kunhar and then a nice breakfast to start up a day. Friendly people, stunning scenery, flowing river and glowing sun makes this time feels like a dream. Its time to cook some heavy duty food that can set up our day long exertion in the remote Valley of Kach Gali.
This is what I have been thinking for so many years, family camping along the one of my most cherished places on earth... This is my Dreams of Jalkhad coming into life. I am so blessed.
The guy in the back is my Mrs Brother, and is a heavy adventurous soul... These days on a bed due to accident, needing a lot of your prayers.

Back to experimenting with self portraits. Some lovely wilting roses and natural light. Shot with my 50mm.
this was a gift from my sister and her husband for my birthday last month! she's so precious, I love her colors. She matches the dress she made so well!
On the morning of May 30th, 2021, I got to take part in a Hostling tour of locomotive 611 at the Strasburg Railroad. This gave us a bit of an inside look at the morning start-up routine of the locomotive for the day's work. With such a tour, there were only about 20 of us, which makes it nice for kinda having the locomotive to yourself so-to-speak. I learned a good bit from this experience, and feel I had the opportunity to get some good shots as well. Like or hate high-contrast images.....I personally love how this turned out. It's just too bad that pictures don't convey the sounds and smells of this beauty.

Since it's summer, and I have no job and nothing really to do (*sigh*), I decided to pull an all-nighter and head over to Hoboken to catch the sunrise. I took a bunch of photos, and I'm sure you'll see more of them in the future.
I chose this photo today because I've been wanting to try to do a HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo for a long time. Well, this is my first real semi-successful attempt.
I love the clouds in the photo, and if you kinda look closely, you can still see some details in the building :x I just wish that the sun was rising directly behind the buildings.
Some people dream of success while others wake up and work for it.
