As I Look at this Image of Mine, It just occurred to me, that the People who flew this plane into Battle are the same people that are being taken this Virus.
The Greatest Generation fought for our Freedom, and ironically this Virus is taking our Freedom, in the name of Safety.
There was nothing Safe about going to Battle for our Freedom, but they did it anyway. If we allow this Virus to be used as an excuse to take our Freedom, than their Blood is on our Hands.
I will ask you to respect my right to Life, by Staying at home when your sick, Keeping your Distance and Washing your Hands. Anything beyond that goes against your right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Had some breakfast at the Waypoint Cafe at the airport and noticed the planes on the runway. Went home after eating and grabbed my cameras to take full advantage of the great opportunity to see these awesome planes up close. Thanks to the Collings Foundation for bringing these amazingly restored warbirds to my neck of the woods!

In 2019 is het 75 jaar geleden dat Operation Market Garden plaatsvond. Bij Ede is een grasveld ingericht als tijdelijk vliegveld zoals dat in 1944 was. Diverse historische warbirds, waaronder de Westland Lysander, diverse Mustangs, Hurricanes en Spitfires en een Buchon 109 waren aanwezig. Ook de B-25 van de KLuHV en B-17 Sally B zouden meedoen, maar beide waren helaas verhinderd. Het was deze dag schitterend weer met veel zon, helaas net aan de verkeerde kant waardoor veel tegen het licht in gefotografeerd moest worden. Maar desondanks een prachtige airshow waar we, als deze weer wordt herhaald, zeker bij aanwezig zullen zijn.
2019 marks 75 years since Operation Market Garden took place. At Ede, a lawn has been set up as a temporary airport as it was in 1944. Various historical warbirds, including the Westland Lysander, various Mustangs, Hurricanes and Spitfires and a Buchon 109 were present. The B-25 of the KLuHV and B-17 Sally B would also participate, but both were unfortunately unable to attend. The weather during this day was beautiful with a lot of sun. Unfortunately just on the wrong side, which meant that a lot had to be photographed against the light. But nevertheless a beautiful air show where we will be present if it is repeated again.

Nog geen week na Daks over Duxford stond onze volgende vliegshow op het programma; Oostwold Airshow 2019. Twee jaar geleden waren we er voor het eerst en dus ook niet voor het laatst. Ook deze keer weer veel schitterende war birds in actie gezien. Dit keer waren er diverse Mustang P-51's, een Thunderbolt P-47, een Hawker Sea Fury, diverse Spitfires en natuurlijk weer de Fokker Four en Dutch Thunder Yaks aanwezig. Het weer was schitterend en mijn zoon en ik hadden weer een geslaagde dag.
Less than a week after Daks over Duxford, Oostwold Airshow 2019 was on our program. Two years ago we were there for the first time and wasn't going to be our last. Again saw many beautiful war birds in action. This time there were various Mustang P-51s, a Thunderbolt P-47, a Hawker Sea Fury, various Spitfires and of course the Fokker Four and Dutch Thunder Yaks. The weather was beautiful and my son and I had another successful day.
