My friend Bryan and I hung out on Saturday to go pick up a driveshaft for his WRX. On the way back we stopped by a graveyard that had stones on which one person's date of birth was 1768! Glancing across the road to the parked car got me this view though.
I haven't done anything blatantly HDR lately, but this seemed like a good opportunity given the clouds and all... so here it is :)

Shot this when we were wrapping up the photo shoot and caught a nice reflection on the car. The colored version has the side quite overexposed, but I believe this yields great contrast in sepia. I think this not only captured the image, but also the atmosphere and the nice weather of that fine day.

Armed with the proper tools, I went back to my favorite HDR location last night hopefully to get a little inspiration. Knowing the right spots this time, I got lazy and stopped exploring and started exploiting my favorite spot with my dirty car.
It took me a while and 2 attempts to get the post processing of this to look the way I anticipated. Although this may still not be perfect, but it made to my personal favorite HDR shot I've made so far. It took me a while to get the color to look right fumbling with my D70 at night (even after the fact that I snapped 10 shots to try to get the color balance right, it still came out to be off), but then I think the effort is well worth it.
Featuring my Subaru WRX wagon that has a long list of modifications that I'm sure you don't want to know. :-)

Yeah I know. Another high level roller. Well, the owner of this car loves my rollers on this bridge and wanted some of his car their. How could I say no!
Proper fitment, stiff suspension, lotsa powah, makes for a great car!
More shots later!
