My patience was briefly rewarded with a short chase north. PGR 43 emerges from the heat waves at Dovre. A single empty pole car flat sits on a side track near acres of empty sand plant tracks. The large facility here is mothballed. The train will pull up just short of the gated entrance where I'm standing and tie down for the night.

WN train L2 arrives New Auburn, where they will work Superior Silica Sands. Certainly an uninspiring shot, but it's all I could do. Note, the bottom headlight bulb is photoshopped on the 40. They seem to have a hard time keeping the headlights working, as the 41 has also had a bulb burned out for weeks, if not months.
