Three officials captured at the Wimbledon Championships, London UK for the theme "odd one out". The silhouettes caught my eye and I managed to capture the trio before the moment was lost.

We ran out of paper plates for our bbq and these were the only ones my husband could find.... huge shiny things that look like the Wimbledon trophy! Thought they'd make a different surface for taking snaps before we used them.

The familiar view taken 10/23 at Wimbledon West Jn follows an earlier 'new approach' one (see below) of the popular DC Rail 6015 aggregates to Chessington worked by Class56s 56091 and 56301.

A nice spot for a stroll on a Saturday afternoon. The skies might have been totally grey, but in the thick of the woods in Wimbledon, green was the colour of the day. And silver, on the silver birch trees ...

A very clean loco and stock get the green light at Wimbledon for Waterloo. Unfortunately though - not a breath of steam! 15th September 1963.

DC Rail's smartly trimmed loco 60028 heads 'The Cappagh Capital Campaigner' BLS excursion 1Z50 Derby-Chessington South (-Hove) through Wimbledon providing a fine spectacle in and around the capital today. Sister 60055 is at the rear.

The 455/9s were the last batch of Class 455s to enter service in 1985. Here 5917 & 5902 pass Wimbledon Depot with the 16:47 Waterloo to Chessington South service on the 16 September 2022.

Near the end of their time on the southern region two class 508s wait at Wimbledon. I think this was taken from the carpark of a B & Q. 508036 nearest the camera.

15/06/22 Wimbledon: South Western Railway Class 455 5861 & 5731 head along the Up Fast working 2F96 08:17 Woking - London Waterloo. Not many Class 455 workings get free reign on the fast lines but this working runs non-stop from Surbition to London Waterloo, crossing to the fasts at Berrylands.

So, the usually drab, run-down and relatively ugly Wimbledon Chase station can be prettified when adjacent to a beautiful sunset. I've missed the opportunity to take this photograph a number of times before, usually as I'm carrying bags of shopping when I walk past it; but glad I stopped on this occasion :)

I did a couple of bracketed exposures, but it turns out that I could get the results I wanted by processing just the 'middle' frame of the second burst of three ...

Weather patterns across the year have apparently led to trees holding on to their leaves .. . inviting a return here for the full Autumn display!

Here and now at Haydons Road is Friday's 3W90 Tonbridge West Yard RHTT circular worked by GBRf's EDs 73128/212 operating the intensive schedule to time.

The second part of a huge weekend for me, the culmination of a lifetime's dream.

I went to Wimbledon with my dear friend Sarah. We had talked about doing this when we were at school!

Sarah goes and queues every year so I knew I was in safe hands.

Monday was the big day and a very early start! I knew I wanted to makean effort to glam up, and we had to be up very early to pack up tents and put them in storage so I had to get up and do my makeup in a tent at 4.30am!

The queuing to get into the grounds was chaos on the first day due to not enough security staff, so we were in the queue for over 6 hours. But it was totally woth it - we got ont Centre Court to watch Djokovic< Venus Williams and Jannik Sinner.

An amazing day, which I will never forget.

An easy going weekend watching some amazing tennis. It was so good seeing Andy Murray win the Wimbledon final, even got emotional with such an incredible result. Such a contrast from last year, even to the last point I had my fingers crossed really unsure it was going to happen till it did.
