Любой житель города и каждый, знакомый с историей Великой Отечественной войны, безошибочно догадается, что храм расположен на Мамаевом кургане, в той самой легендарной точке, за которую 120 дней с сентября 1942 по январь 1943 гг. сражались советские и нацистские войска. Несмотря на то, что храм Всех Святых появился здесь лишь к 60-й годовщине Победы, в 2005 г., он уже успел стать неотъемлемой частью монумента и одной из «визитных» достопримечательностей Волгограда. 102nd height — this is the exact address of the Church of All Saints in Volgograd. Any resident of the city and everyone familiar with the history of the Great Patriotic War will infallibly guess that the temple is located on Mamayev Kurgan, at the very legendary point for which the Soviets fought for 120 days from September 1942 to January 1943. Despite the fact that the Church of All Saints appeared here only by the 60th anniversary of the Victory, in 2005, it has already become an integral part of the monument and one of the "visiting" attractions of Volgograd. The narrow and tall building of the temple seems to be striving to break away from the exhausted earth and ascend to the dizzyingly blue heights of the Volga skies, and its golden crowns, similar to the helmets of epic knights, triumph eternal glory to the fallen heroes................

Willpower is like this stubborn tuft of grass, it seemed impossible but was released from the oppression of the asphalt to rise above the road surface.
One of the places where you can meet the Haenyeo, Jeju sub women. Famous for their independent spirit and willpower, they are the most obvious representation of the semi-matriarchal family structure of the area.

this cute little skunk was in Upper Pahranagat Lake, Nevada. He would not leave us alone. His mother had just died and he was looking for affection. At one point he was walking over my boots. Took all of my willpower not to pick the cute little stinker up. And yes I know you don't touch wildlife.

I don't usually post so many photos of the same species, but the crossbills had such a run and put on such a show that I couldn't stop snapping. This reminds me of last summer's extraordinary tanager season, when it took all of my willpower to pull myself away from the yard to squeeze in a bike ride. Anyhow, yesterday I heard but did not see the crossbills--I'm not sure what that means. Hopefully they will come back soon, but if they don't then I hope to be compensated for their absence by the return of grosbeaks, waxwings, and tanagers, all of whom are more-or-less due about now. And as long as I am hoping, I might as well remind the universe that a pileated woodpecker visit would be welcomed. Red crossbill, backyard Olympia.
Note (May 8): I just saw at least a dozen crossbills in the yard, mostly drinking from the pond.

Surfing is fun but beside balance and patience it take determination, stamina, practice and willingness to fight thrue breaking waves just so you get find a good vantage point for you 5 or ten second ride. I took this from the pier in Oceanside, California. on a winter day.

I had to use willpower not to eat the blueberries before the photoshoot was over, but now I can indulge with abandon.
Blueberries have many health benefits and they are delicious. If I can't find affordable fresh ones I don't hesitate to purchase the frozen variety.
Half a dozen TC&W Geeps lead the "Saint Paul" Turn through Nicollet Island on their way back west after interchanging with CPKC at Humboldt. Those leaves must have a lot of willpower to make it this late into November without changing colors.
My new year's resolution for this year was to get rid of my sweet tooth and maintain a healthy n green lifestyle...and me and my kids have achieved it after months of practice..not only we turned into a vegetarian but got rid of all the sugary addictions...even my daughters aged 3.5 and 6 yrs have developed an inner strength to say NO to any confectioneries being offered to them...To me its very important to have the inner force or strength to choose the right decision when our mind and heart are not at the same track... PS: I have lost about 22 pounds now ;-)

No fingers were hurt during this photoshoot,
instead I used the double exposure technique again.
Between fingers a 'From Me to You' gift heart/card, made of thick cardboard.
Behind the heart was a burner fire starter (bio oil for fireplaces, bbq).
Background black paper, that also caught the flames eventually, making me very glad I did this outside.
The small burner starters do burn for a long time. Lots of smoke as well.
Finger image also on a black background.
Copied the thumb, and placed it on the top layer, giving the illusion that the flames were between the fingers.
Ben Lomond is the most southerly Munro and, at 3195ft or 974m, towers over the eastern shores of Loch Lomond.................

Z'chazak: Near-immortality, magic, extreme cunning, intellect, willpower and influence.
Weaknesses: Shawn: You name it. He is human, after all XD
Z'chazak: Overconfidence, powerless without a human form, bound to the mask bearing his name. Destroying it will destroy his spirit.
Origin: Shawn Mansfield was a well-respected archeologist. One day, while exploring an ancient South American temple, he stumbled upon a room containing strange paintings on the walls and an ornate mask resting on a pedestal. As he picked the mask up, he was filled with an uncontrollable desire to put it on. Doing so, Shawn was overwhelmed with power and blacked out. Upon waking, Mansfield discovered he was no longer in control of his actions. The mask had granted him immense magical power, but it also took away his free will. From what Shawn could gather, he had inadvertently freed the jungle spirit Z'chazak, an ancient evil imprisoned for the last 500 years. Now that Z'chazak is free, it is only a matter of time before he takes revenge on the human race for imprisoning him.

An outtakes shot from the zero - all will be revealed soon. How do you guys like the new parts on Simon? I think they really complete his look, at least until some black and green dual-molded legs are released. While I haven’t had the time to read much of their ongoing Rebirth title, I’m quite pleased with how DC has handled them with respect to pre-existing Earth Lanterns. Everyone gets a chance in the comic book spotlight, without a political agenda skewing representation.
Man, I really, really love the background I chose for this, the color is just so gorgeous.

If a person's willpower closely resembles that of carbon steel, they reach the breaking point all on a sudden, without any prior signs. And the meltdown usually wrecks havoc.
I keep sensing this very unusual microbursts within. Never had these before.
Getting rid of all my camera gear. Does not make any sense doing this anymore. Nothing makes sense anymore. Being poor is a curse, and it destroys everything a person dreams about.

I think i've almost nailed focus stacking down to a T. This time around, I managed to brace my camera in a position that still allowed me to manually turn my focus ring without moving the image.
Jade and Kyle were really interesting minifigures to make. The first time I conceptualized them, I definitely didn't think of using the parts displayed in this picture; Kyle was essentially a clone of Hal with different hair preferences, and Jade would have used an inferior RoTS Clone Trooper torso. I'm pretty happy with how Gardner turned out as well - I like his white belt here.
