I was trying to catch the sense of vast open spaces in New Mexico. This is a start, but does not really show what I wanted. Might be reason to figure out panoramas.

Very neat and tidy abode for 1-2 homeless people and one pet. Shot at 6.30 in the morning but I didn't see anyone around. Have been back but still no sign of the inhabitant(s). Lovely views included.

Some only see what they want to see - oblivious to the facts. So even with their eyes wide open - clearly they are blind.....just as if the blinds were closed. Thus the title EYES WIDE SHUT. The reality is - more often than not, I believe that to be the case. A sad fact.

The Asian Openbill or Asian Openbill Stork, Anastomus oscitans, is a large wading bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. It is a resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Southeast Asia.

Asian Openbill Stork is a broad-winged soaring bird, which relies on moving between thermals of hot air for sustained flight. Like all storks, it flies with its neck outstretched. It is relatively small for a stork at 68 cm length. They breed near inland wetlands and build stick nest in trees, typically laying 2-6 eggs.

Breeding adults are all white except for the black wing flight feathers, red legs and dull yellow-grey bill. The mandibles do not meet except at the tip, and this gives rise to the species' name. Non-breeding adults have the white of the plumage replaced by off-white. Young birds have brown tinge to the plumage.

The Asian Openbill Stork, like most of its relatives, walks slowly and steadily on the ground, feeding on molluscs, frogs and large insects.

Playing around with my 17-40. This lens is just amazing on full-frame. Super wide(thats what she said). Also,I felt like I haven't shot in chinatown for a really long time,so I decided to walk up and take some shots!

You know, I think I prefer the tall version.

Wide field view of the NorthEastern sky. M31, the Andromeda galaxy is actually in this view, however it is on the fringes, and washed out.

Feel free to correct my identifcations of all of these objects, as they are just my best guess.

A wide opens sky. Dry with no sign of rain, a barren and parched landscape below begs the sky to turn dark and give up the rain it has held back for a decade

Wide backs that look like old timey feed sacks fabric.

I think Mondo was hoping I'd toss him an hors d'oeuvre!
