Former Soo Line station in Barron, WI. Under a very slow restoration, but otherwise in fairly good condition.
So much land and resource here, yet we still don't use chairs.

Ally is my aunt (mom's sister).
...Kermit Johnson is my grandmother's first cousin (mom's mom's mom's sisters's son). He owned a ~75 acre farm, which may have been comprised of land originally settled by my great-great grandparents after their emmigration from Norway.

For a birthday surprise, Steve and I head up to Wisconsin, hitting Oshkosh, Wausau, and Milwaukee. We skied, ate, drove, and drank. (Not all at the same time.) It was a great escape! And finished it off with the Super Bowl. If only the 49'ers had won... happy birthday, love.
