It’s like living in the nightmare, which have all the signs of nightmare but one or two. You’re pinch your elbow. You could feel it. You couldn’t wake up. So, it’s not the nightmare. But it definitely is. You know the feeling. And now all of us, trapped in this nightmare, are desperately need to stop it from within.

In Russia it’s worse because of living in it more than 20 years. And our lives turned into a nightmare little by little so as not to be noticed. Teeny-weeny little nightmarish element in the more or less normal life. More nightmare but partly acceptable one. Even more but we get used to it. Just a little bit more but we got Stockholm syndrome and our sensitivity dropped and severely damaged. After all we had the good old Europe to skip in emergency and every time when we needed just one more breath of fresh air, please. As well as all the beautiful world. We had our blessed inner emigration, we have the cosmopolitan circle of our own. We and the nightmare system barely noticed each other. That’s the very point. The system had nothing to do with our true real lives. Like the street crime, TNCs and sects. We had the biggest thing after our loves – our arts. Our tops of our semi-private worlds. And than – February 24th, the full-scale nightmare and not any comfortably numbness and Stockholm tricks and all other mean psychological manipulation which is those bread and high don't work anymore. Even the last vestige of all the system, the instinct for self-preservation, sometimes is ready to give up and now telling from its depths: “It depends”.

One morning, on getting out early to photograph, we found the incredible site of whole fields covered by cobwebs. It seemed unbelievable. I do not k now why it happened, and just on that one day.

The whole 2CV. The person using it is borrowing it, lucky man!

My photo of the day is here : www.flickr.com/photos/44506883@N04/49413086138/in/photost...

so if I send it to you,

you've got to promise to keep it whole

Dum, dum, dum, honey what have you done

Dum, dum, dum, it's the sound of my gun

Dum, dum, dum, honey what have you done

Dum, dum, dum, it's the sound, it's the sound...

Nah, nah, nah...nah, nah, nah...

Nah, nah, nah...nah, nah, nah...

Janie's got a gun

Janie's got a gun

Her whole world's come undone

From lookin' straight at the sun

What did her daddy do

What did he put you through

They say when Janie was arrested

They found him underneath a train

But man, he had it comin'

Now that Janie's got a gun

She ain't never gonna be the same

South Lake Rd. turns off of Highway 168 out of Bishop, CA. I had been exploring the Sabrina and North Lake areas earlier and wanted to explore this lake also. The aspens along the drive were much better than when I got to the lake. I pulled off the side of the road to capture the grove and had quite a few people join me as I was shooting.

There was a waterfall just to the left of where I framed this picture, but I couldn't get the whole view in one picture. Someone was able to build their vacation home right next to the waterfall and had this amazing view. I was just a little jealous.

I was happy to stay on the oppposite side of the barbed wire fence to take this.... We were driving home through Elbert, Colorado.....about 45 minutes southeast of Denver....it was snowing andcold. This particular pasture had several Angus bulls , none of which looked really sociable....:) Some really big dudes.

The Elevador de Santa Justa was built in 1902 by a follower of Eiffel. It whisks passengers up from street level to, er, another street level! just in a whole different area if the city. It's quite beautiful and the views are stunning.

My wife found this small flower in the garden, so we took it for a quick shot (which isn't that sharp, unfortunately).

The feng shui crystal in front of the window produced wonderful rainbow colour spots in the whole room when the sunlight came through. Fascinating!

pano merge out of 10 .arw RAW format files. First time I did this ever, and I'm amazed with the clarity and sharpness of the whole photo when you zoom in (I'm so very used to simple mobile panoramas that are way more unsharp and unclear). Sad that You can't zoom in 3x times because I do not have PRO account, but hey, this is nice too.

This is amazing, and so I learned also that you have to have a high processing power because one .dng pano file, made out of 10 raw files, equals cca >1GB size.

This .jpg got to nearly 139MB with 100% quality.

Maybe I'll lower it down do like 90% for more optimized tradeoff between sharpness and file size.

I left it like it is for I don't want to burn my PC but let it cool down :)

enjoy in my first pano uploaded to flickr.

Entering new PANO album.

Taken at the top of the little hill, above lake of Vran, where you can see all this scenery of the sea from one side, and the lake from the other.

EDIT: okay, sooo-u, I've found that size of the image is 34105 x 8947 :D

which is soooo unnecessary (would love to see and to live the times when technology would be that great to be able to show those numbers of pixels). So I made a 2160px resize (by the short edge) and now is more appropriate file size.

I will leave this first version just for flex :) because Flickr is amazing and does not have file size limit.

As seen on the curly whirly tree today - that would be the Contorted Hazel in the garden here . Mention hazelnuts and one thinks of the crazy adverts that Cadburys did back in the day - especially the Frank Muir one for Fruit and nut - but here is just one for Whole Hazelnut Chocolate ----

Today my cat followed me around the whole day. It was pretty weird.

Small but hardy, this is one of the most northerly butterflies in the world, being recorded up to Greenland. It is common across the whole of Europe, and also occurs over large parts of North-America. Aside from native populations in the Arctic, some eastern populationsprobably resulted from an accidental introduction from Scandinavia during the colonial period.

Although not a migratory species, the Small Copper can readily colonize new territories in suitable habitat patches, in climatic conditions ranging from Mediterranean heat to arctic cold.
