Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
well, I could keep it above
but then it wouldn't be sky anymore
so if I send it to you,
you've got to promise to keep it whole
buy the sky
and sell the sky
and lift your arms up to the sky
and ask the sky and ask the sky ...
REM - "Fall On Me" 1986
I got out of my car early enough to see the entire sky filled with high level streaking clouds and stars peeking through well before the sun started to rise. The whole hike into the foothills the color just started building in this spectacular way...a strange but amazing atmosphere that slowly creeps in indicating you've made a great decision. It wasn't until a little under an hour before sunrise I was able to capture this scene luckily with a few stars remaining. Unfortunately there was an approaching storm that moved too fast and cut the light right before things really exploded :(
I have another version of this, there is actually a field of dense purple Triplet Lilies below this frame.
Going back a couple of years in my files. We really lucked out on this trip - we reserved an excursion along the Amalfi Coast in Italy to find we were the only ones on it. Had a private chauffeur in a Mercedes Van the whole day showing us the scenic spots.
I was happy to stay on the oppposite side of the barbed wire fence to take this.... We were driving home through Elbert, Colorado.....about 45 minutes southeast of Denver....it was snowing andcold. This particular pasture had several Angus bulls , none of which looked really sociable....:) Some really big dudes.

Earth's "sister planet" a.k.a Venus. After the Moon, it is the brightest natural object in the night sky, reaching an apparent magnitude of −4.6, bright enough to cast shadows. That’s why I love this planet :o) . Today weather is keep changing! from the clean sky to cloudy, then raining! I must stop all the homework immediately because this weird weather! Insomnia is sucks, no sleep for the whole night. So this photo is taken early in the morning about 6.30am. have a nice day~

The feng shui crystal in front of the window produced wonderful rainbow colour spots in the whole room when the sunlight came through. Fascinating!
Long exposure of the Havel in Rathenow. The whole river was full of white foam. Very suitable for long exposures.

As seen on the curly whirly tree today - that would be the Contorted Hazel in the garden here . Mention hazelnuts and one thinks of the crazy adverts that Cadburys did back in the day - especially the Frank Muir one for Fruit and nut - but here is just one for Whole Hazelnut Chocolate ----
In the last years I’ve become very obsessed by sunsets. These 15 minutes remind me how the world can be beautiful and take me away from negative thoughts every day.
Remind me that we can be free, that life is so short, the intense moments are so evanescent nevertheless they can give meaning to a whole existence.

We had rain and overcast conditions the whole day yesterday... but we got three minutes of great light at sunset.
Fortunately I was in the right place at the right time to be able to capture it... in the middle of a wheat field, on a farm near Durbanville.

I'm sitting at work on Monday and I notice that it is getting darker outside. I figured it was going to rain, so I didn't pay it any more attention. Well it got a lot darker and I looked out the wondow and it was looking a bit nasty so I quickly went to www.wixt.com our news channel to look at the radar to see what was going on. In red right up at the top of the page was TORNADO WARNING. I know the difference between watch and warning adn all we have ever really gotten up here were watches, which means that the conditions are favorable to produce a tornado. THe warning means that something is up and you need to keep your eye to sky and pay attention to your surroundings because one is trying to form or one has already formed and is on the ground.
I quickly went over to the weather channel website and got more details. It was telling me that at 2:50 this storm would be right where I was. The time was 2:45. All I wanted to do was to get home to my house and my kids. School dismissal is at 2:50. I fly out the door at work, jump in the van, pull to the end of the driveway away from all the trees and come face to face with this lovely wall cloud. I'm telling you I almost wet my pants. Since I only live 5 miles away I figured I would get home rather quickly. Well I thought wrong. About a mile away from work I started getting pounded by hail that was the size of half dollars. It was so loud inside my van. The intensity and the loudness was just insane. The whole lasted for about 5 minutes but I swear it was the longest 5 minutes of my life. No tornado actually touched down, but it tried forming several times out of this wall cloud. This shows the time elapsed photography from our news website:

I was walking around downtown LA alone, when I heard someone say, "Hey, pretty lady. Don't you wanna take a picture of me?"
I turned to see this beautiful man with smiling eyes, laughing at me
So I stopped and took this
There is this awesome tune by a Danish band that has been playing everywhere, and I have been meaning to share it for a while
Heard it again in the car while driving back from lunch with a good friend, so I decided it was time to rummage in my archives, and find this image and share the tune, before it drives me nuts LOL
So a second upload :)))
