This was taken at the beautiful and unspoiled beach at Stokksnes in Iceland. It’s known for its incredible black lava dunes and is overlooked by the mountain of Vestrahorn. I could easily have spent a few days here just photographing the beach in the ever changing conditions created by the enigmatic Icelandic weather. So many places to visit, so little time to do it (sigh)

This is the pair of beavers whose home I have discovered. They come out before the sun goes down. It has hardly rained in months and right now the water level in the creek is quite low. I'm still getting to know beavers as a species but am cautiously starting to dream about seeing little ones ... can you imagine how cute baby beavers are??!!
Primula sieboldii blooms taken at Fitzroy Gardens Conservatory. These two blooms seem to be whispering to one another.

I use this technique when doing personalized greeting cards with my images making the background larger than the top image and blurring it to give this effect so I thought I would post one such image, hope you like it!
