In this "New Normal" of the Pandemic, there's a lot of bad news. I'm glad to still have a job! but things are not completely serene there in these times either. Still, if I have to work from home, it's great to get to sit out in warm springtime sun and get kitty kisses during the lunch hour. Tikki was head-marking my glasses which is why they are awry and did give me a little kitty kiss... not in an area that suggests she was "looking for lunch leftovers on my face", either! So while it isn't a great portrait for me, at least I look happy and Tikki is as always a stunner. (Added to Happy Caturday 21 November 2020, theme “Love is Touch”).
Been busy working from home from Wednesday. Really not “working from home” in inverted commas, it’s been full on, definitely no time to take advantage of being at home (apart from zero commute) thankfully, technology is making the transition bearable!
I’m WFH this afternoon. I went to the kitchen to get another cuppa cawfee and came back to this. Apparently I’d been petting the mouse when I should have petted Someone Else. (In the background you can see my work-related trophies from the FDFFL and the Bugbear, whose job it is to eat software bugs.) Added to Happy Caturday for 10 July 2021 theme “Cats and Electronics.”
some days I envy people who get to drive/walk/ride to work.
some days I feel like the luckiest guy alive to be able to work with my family around me.
today is one of those days :)
Tikki was successfully resting on my arms while I worked with no problems. Until a co-worker, with whom I was writing requirements, texted me: “Or as Shakespeare would say, ‘this shit writes itself.’” The burst of laughter scared her off.

Having been prepped for repaint, Go-Coach 8347 YX66 WFH is seen on Witches Lane, Bessels Green on its way to Mardens for a repaint into fleet colours. Friday 4th February 2022.
8347 was moved from Abellio Beddington to Swanley Garage on Wednesday 26th January 2022 and was stored at Swanley until a slot for it became available at Otford.

My inspiration for this build came from wanting to try a larger-scale build, particularly with a door. I was pleasantly pleased with how it turned out and I enjoyed adding the little details. It’s been a while since I’ve last posted a LEGO build so hopefully I’ll be a little more consistent with posts from now on.

We went past Christian Dior fashion store at Westfield Valley Fair and this mannequin at the window caught my eyes. I suppose this is the latest "work from home" business attire. Seriously, I am partially working from home these days and it doesn't seem like it would change any time soon. You can almost see my reflections on the mannequin. Incidentally, the reflection of the Tiffany & Co sign also shows up on its neck. In any case, this is quite inspiring and I needed to record it.
