Went out this morning looking for Wildlife. Nothing Doing, so it was back to the California Native Plant-life. Is it Weed or Wonder… Actually, it’s a wonder that anything at all grows in our SoCal Desert Climate.

Went for the old cheese grater for max bokeh!

Went back to Blackroot Pool in Sutton Park - overshot the mark and walked 2.6 miles in thick mud. Haven't quite recovered yet !

I'm sure all my friends here on Flickr will know about Mud. Not easy to walk in but I loved the autumn colours here.

And if you fancy a laugh, do listen. I know - showing my age here 😃 !

Thanks to anyone who leaves a comment or fave - you are much appreciated !

I went to Lake Artemesia in College Park, Maryland and wasn't expecting anything, but was richly rewarded to see several Wood Duck females and their broods. Here is a close up of one of the ducklings as they foraged among the Lilly pads on the lake. Such a cute little thing!

Taken 6 June 2016.

Went out today for the first time in a while but came home empty handed. So, here’s one from earlier this year.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. They are much appreciated.

Went for the day, hoping to go for the week soon

I went up to Happisburgh to catch the early morning sun but the mist came across quite quickly and pretty much obscured the lighthouse completely after I took this shot

Went to visit my brother in Seattle, Washington and as usual it was raining up there :) So we left the coast after a nice visit and headed east along the Columbia River. We got some spectacular views of the river while we stayed ahead of the storm.

I went to the Antarctica just after the big economic crash of 2008 / 2009. It was my goal and an end to a long trip through South America, via bus, overland. Due to the lack of tourist, a group of us negotiated a very good price for this trip. When crossing the Drake Passage, you'll encounter some of the roughest seas on the planet. At one point in the trip a big wave hit the boat and the tables and chairs, which were chained to the wooden floor, broke free and flew across the room. All said, well worth the effort.

Went on a photo shoot with friends the other night... just as we were about to leave for home the Northern lights showed up :o)

Went looking for wild flowers yesterday didn't find too many, guess I will have to go back again soon before it gets to hot :)

Went out with good mates Tim Wrate, Ben Coope, Jake Anderson and Trent Bloomfield.

I had shot this comp some years ago however I had always wanted to get back and shoot a tilt pano with Schneider. Lucky we got an incredible sunrise as a pay off for the 2 hour drive.

This image is seven frames with the 50mm Schnieder and the focal plane is laid down horizontally with a 2 degree tilt.

Went out today hoping for one, no luck with anything only three distant Hobbys.

Went to Nigg Bay for full moon rise. Arrived with clear skys, but that didn't last too long, Was snowing by the time I left. Did not stick around for my Blue hour shot as it was freezing.

I went a little crazy buying some spring/summer clothes, but they are all so beautiful!

To actually be able to buy Liberty of London at Target...a dream...just a dream!(~.~)

Went down to the little river near where I live, trying some longer exposures. Unfortunately due to garbage (platic mostly) almost everywhere I had to find the tightest angles. We do have the best DSLRs, smartphones and more but that's the direct consequence on Nature: pollution and garbage. This is cropped a lot couse I wanted to emphasize the flow and did some major editing on curves to gain more contrast between light and dark areas.

Went to Crested Butte, Colorado for a quick camping trip and the amazing wildflowers in that area. The smoke was a slight issue but it was still beautiful.

I went outside to photograph the dogwoods in our yard. But every year there are fewer flowers, and they are always at the top of the tree. They were all facing upwards, and even with my 100-400 lens, I could only get the bottoms of the flowers. So instead, I shot through the flowers and focused on the leaves.

When you get lemons, make some leaf lemonade :)

I went to Surrey for a photo day last week, to capture some architecture that was different than downtown Vancouver. I was standing near the Skytrain station and saw a big opening above, which would be the Skytrain tracks, looking up at the Civic Hotel. The building has 54 stories and is 157.3 metres (516 ft.) tall.

I went for a walk today and walked past

this nature reserve called the Margaretha polder.

Cows at the waterline and one is hiding..... at the left.

Have a nice and happy day my friends.

I went to the basement to look for a particular matchbox which I had in mind but then I came across these tiny matchsticks which I didn't even know existed. They are less than 3cm long and the little pot is maybe 1.8 cm high. I have no box for them so the pot will have to do. I combined the matches with other items that are just as tiny (a candelabra, a good book :) and a cup of something hot and comforting). Not that the weather calls for a hot drink at the moment, but it went with my theme :) I used Xmas wrapping as wallpaper. I found lots of good tiny things today, I need to get them out and use them. MM is perfect for it. I sacrificed one matchstick to see if it would burn and yes it definitely does. A surprisingly bright flame and the "stick" burned slow enough not to burn my fingers. I did not try to burn the candles :)

Went up Little Cottonwood Canyon ( one of the three larger canyons in Salt Lakes Cities Wasatch Range) just before dark for some long exposure stream photography. This was from the second place I stopped, the first place lower down the canyon had too much broiling white water to get to kind of shots I wanted. Even here there was more water than I really wanted, too much white water. Maybe by late July when more of the snow has melted and the stream settles I'll go back.

We went quite far into the swamps in search of a sunrise shooting location. It was our mistake, along the way we missed a couple of pretty good ones in search of the best one. Therefore, we met the dawn at a rather boring location

I went to the lake on Monday, and heard, then saw, a single black phoebe working the small pond at Koll. I walked around to the back side for better light and fewer obstructions. Lots of misses due to the speed of this darter, but a few came out pretty well! Definitely had its eye on something, with that mouth opening for intake!

Went for a drive yesterday to see what I could see - - one of my drive by shootings was this Red Tail Hawk getting a Starling. He had already caught it and was about to feast when I pulled off the road - - he immediately took off and went to another hydro pole - - here's him heading off.

Went shopping with my friend, Deepa. Right behind the restaurant is this park, which you can see while you're eating, so we walked down to the creek for a little relaxation after dinner.

I went hiking in the Finnish Lapland fells. Lapland has a very special place deep in my heart. Silence, steps high up and then down, wind, joy and the precence of the moment, landscapes and their beauty… With all these my mind is now filled. Cloud Nine ( George Harrison ) 👱‍♀️🎧🎶 And no, I didn’t get rain on me 😁 Finland, Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Palkaskeron valloitus, tosi kiva reitti Pallastuntureilla.

Went for a walk by St Clair beach yesterday but being high tide and big seas a beach walk would have been very wet.

Thanks very much for visiting our climate warmed winter.

I went out with my camera in the neighbourhood a bit yesterday. On my way home, I went to find a plant I shot last year - a Pink Cordyback that someone has planted in a large pot. The leaves have so many different patterns, and as the year ends, the leaves dry and change colour and texture. I thought I was done shooting it, but looked down to the bottom between the leaves and found this tiny leaf all scrunched up. I had to move aside a few leaves and stick my lens down into the plant. I'm guessing it was a leaf that got stuck somehow and ended up looking like it had gone through a crimping iron.

HSS!!

I went hiking with some friends and afterwards we went to this old restaurant in Austin for some BBQ. The place is called,"Freedman's", because it was originally a Freedman's lodge. While I was walking around looking for a good shot, I spotted this and thought it might be a good slider..;) You can see the daylight inside, the roof is long gone but the food is so good people keep going. A lot of history but not much parking. Austin has grown up around it.

In the on going story about my home repairs, I think the crews will be finished on Monday. It has taken longer because when you repair an old house you find old problems behind walls..;( And, I added some things to the list as well. Cost have soared. I've found you just have to say stop! I'm only going to replace the area rugs downstairs and than I'm finished..;)

Went out and watched the kits the other night and they are so curious and so darn adorable.

Went for a ride the other day over east of the state on the back roads. Spotted this guy watching us go by. Nice bull elk.

Das Wental ist ein typisches Trockental nordwestlich von Steinheim am Albuch auf der Karsthochfläche der Schwäbischen Alb und ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel.

Finn went to the very polished Seven Emporium sim for 50L Friday earlier, to get the 'Full Lubrication Service' sign (shush!), and walked around and saw this little broken boat on the shore with its big old rusty chain, and took a quick pic ...

The YT vid to this really has to be Selena Gomez, listen to it, and you'll understand this pic :)

You promised the world and I fell for it

I put you first and you adored it

You set fires to my forest

And you let it burn

Sang off key in my chorus

Cause it wasn’t yours

I saw the signs and I ignored it

Rose colored glasses all distorted

You set fire to my purpose

And I let it burn

You got off on the hurtin’

When it wasn’t yours

We’d always go into it blindly

I needed to lose you to find me

This dancing was killing me softly

I needed to hate you to love me

Went back to my spot at Loch Lomond this evening. I’d been there earlier last week to get this shot however the image was slightly out of focus. I liked the way this turned out and love my new firecrest 13 stop. Have a peaceful weekend.

Went back towards evening to see if I could get a better pic of this beautiful Barred Owl. After a few passes it was spotted at 5:00 p.m. Bucks County PA.

Went to the central park in NYC to see the Mandarin Duck again. This time, lucky enough to have met him.

Went to Fabriano 2 weekends ago (previous three pictures posted are from the nearby mountain area) and had some expectations in finding a meadow of anemone in my aunt's garden. Even though most of the flowers were withered, my expectations were met and the afternoon light did help a lot.

Went for droplet hunting after rain:) Used hand held flash to enable use of f.8 and black background.

Went out looking for these tiny purple wonders today, but it was too early. So here's one from last year.

i went to the beach this morning, and i did get some good shots, mostly of people fishing in the surf, bright sunshine, diamonds shimmering on the surface of the water, all the things you would expect on a sunny autumn mid-morning. no surfing though, and i can only make so many photographs of fishing before the urge to move becomes too strong to resist.

so i stopped on the river as i drove back home, and i found THIS!! all i can say is … i'm so glad that i left when i did and decided to stop and then cross the road before i left, and take both my wide angle and telephoto lenses, and … well, i think you get the idea. otherwise, no iron man footage to share with all my flickr friends. florida … what can i say?

Went to the county park after the "on & off" rain stopped, so you'd see the raindrops in many shots I took today

Went down this evening to spend some time with my dad. Took along the camera and filters. With the storm and clouds around some long exposures were in order. Used the 10 Stop ND filter here for this 3 minutes of exposure.

Went for a somewhat off-kilter composition this time. Don't blame me! The clouds made me do it!
