My personal favorite from this set. Using the lights from distant fishing boats was not how I expected to expose the scne but it worked out really well. Just a fun freaking morning on the beach.

The supporting structure for the arches looks modern but is in fact a solution worked by master masons centuries ago. A straight a shot as I culd do with my old manual focus fisheye. Simply processed from RAW without HDR. Thanks very much if you have time for a comment.

Should've stayed, were there signs, I ignored?

Can I help you, not to hurt, anymore?

We saw brilliance, when the world, was asleep

There are things that we can have, but can't keep

If they say

Who cares if one more light goes out?

In a sky of a million stars

It flickers, flickers

Who cares when someone's time runs out?

If a moment is all we are

We're quicker, quicker

Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do

The reminders pull the floor from your feet

In the kitchen, one more chair than you need oh

And you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair

Just 'cause you can't see it, doesn't mean it, isn't there

If they say

Who cares if one more light goes out?

In a sky of a million stars

It flickers, flickers

Who cares when someone's time runs out?

If a moment is all we are

We're quicker, quicker

Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do

Who cares if one more light goes out?

In a sky of a million stars

It flickers, flickers

Who cares when someone's time runs out?

If a moment is all we are

We're quicker, quicker

Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do

Well I do

One More Light - Linkin Park

Nearly four years ago, the world lost a true icon of the music world and I lost one of my childhood idols. His passing was one of someone being gone too soon, but his legacy remains in the music of Linkin Park.

As someone who has battled, depression and anxiety, I know what the battle can be like. To those going through it, just know that no matter how you feel, your light shines just as bright as everyone else. And while you may think that no one might care, I do. And I am sure that there are many others that care immensely about you and would be lost without your light in their life.

The corner of the bedroom in my latest home needed a bit of interest! I stumbled across these superb Moroccan tiles from Paper Moon at the Seasons Story event and everything seemed to come together. I love how they go on the walls here. A quick trip round some of the latest events and I was picking up decor pieces to match in... see below for more details.

Well what a grey day and in fact grey weekend its been , so i swapped hats and ventured out into the rain today to try some B and W photography. This was a quick handheld shot in the rain , only took 4 frames before my lens was wet , this one being the first effort , i plan on going back another day with the tripod.

‘Grey’ (Barclay No.1994 of 1931) was supplied to the Durham County Water Board to work on the construction of Burnhope Reservoir in the early 1930s.

At the end of construction it was sold on in 1938 for further use on the Penrhyn Quarry Railway system in North Wales where it acquired the name 'Glyder’

After falling out of use at Penrhyn It was exported, along with a number of other former Penrhyn locomotives, to the USA. After arrival in the US the locomotive was purchased at auction by Tony Hulman (the then owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway home of the Indy 500).

After many years of storage in 2012 a deal was done to see the return of Glyder (along with two other narrow gauge locomotives), finally returning to the UK after years in storage.

Although never a colliery engine Glyder/Grey' isn't far from it's first home, and certainly looks the part shunting around the colliery village in the summer sunshine.

Non è fantascienza, è realtà che il ghiaccio ai poli si stia fondendo.

All'antartide il processo, ormai ben noto, sembra aver preso un'accelerata, sono molto preoccupata.

This is the second image I posted of the intriguing initiation well inside the Quinta da Regaleira park near Sintra (Portugal).

For me, the visit to this specific well was one of my bucket-list items. I love that spiral shape of the 27 meter staircase, the medieval feel while being down there (even when you know it is "just" 120 years old) . Photographing inside the well was difficult. There were a lot of visitors, leaving not much space for me to work my gear. I took several images and later transformed them in PS into a blend of multiple exposures.

And the title for this image? You might guess it, but maybe I just like the guitar-licks of Peter Green.

Enjoy!

Today when checking out one of the little libraries I was fortunate enough to meet Rebus, named after Inspector John Rebus from the Ian Rankin book series. (How appropriate meeting a literary character while checking out books). Anyway Rebus and I had a lovely long visit which involved lots of cuddles and hugs and, yes, a few tears as well, as he did remind me so much of our little Fred. I must admit, while my brain tells me not to get another little cairn, my heart is telling me...do it. Oh who knows, maybe one day I will cave.

Founded in AD909, is among one of the oldest schools in Europe. The earliest record was as a school for choristers when the then church of Wells

was made into a cathedral.

I was wondering the cloisters and heard music coming from this window in the school.

Taken through the kitchen window this guy was not inhibited while eating and watched the whole time.

Inspired by Carlo Mottarone (www.flickr.com/photos/kai-moerk/) I thought I had to show some Christmas preparations as well.
