The third and most exciting lifer for me on Friday. We first saw them from a distance and were happy with the shots then they started giving the alarm call and they flew into some trees just near us. The reason for their flight to safety was a pair of Wedge Tailed Eagles arriving in the area, one of which I posted on Friday.
Happy Wing Wednesday!
Happy window Wednesday. This was taken last Friday out on our front porch. We have had nice weather and 90% of our snow is gone. It was so warm that day Maggie could go out and sit on her perch.
Sky window on the Star Casino complex at Queen's Wharf in Brisbane. There are a number of buildings involved here, most complete but as you can see from the crane, one is still under construction.
A window on the sky!
Another wet one in Brisbane today.
the week series
Wednesday is often referred to as "hump day" because of its position as the middle day of the work week. If the work week were a hill, then Wednesday would be the crest. It is all down hill from there. (Whether the down hill ride is a coast or a descent into a swamp is left to the individual.)
Looking through the windows from the main corridor to the outside in the AdventHealth Cancer Institute. I liked all the different windows!
Happy Window Wednesday!
PS: Worked on this again this morning as it had a prominent curve in the shot. Top was straight, curled up in the body. Can't believe I figured out how to do it, chemobrain and immunotherapybrain and all! Thank you, Jesus..
This bird was awesome. He had a lot of fun with my son. He got on his shoulder and would take his hat off, and take his sunglasses off too. I hope you like this shot! Have a super day flickr friends.
Huigs.

Wednesday morning across the Midlands and Peak was lovely, I stayed local and visited this fishing pool a few miles from home.
Was really nice to be on my doorstep taking it all in. Chilled, stunning conditions and a Swan.

Seen at the Ralph Klein Environmental Park. Hawks like to perch on the light standards near the access road, and let photographers get some nice close-ups.
Anyone for tea?
Found on Madeleine's garden wall.
When I'd been past her crazy garden, by car, a while ago, I was worried that maybe not all was well with her. But, to my relief when I last went by (again by car), I noticed that there were other new, crazy things on her wall.
I saw these: flic.kr/p/Qgc1xS and at first thought it was crazy. Or, that was, until I finally met Madeleine. She hates throwing anything away, so puts anything broken in the garden and either plants things in them, or leaves them for the birds to nest in.
A photo is from the archives.
Better viewed large, and thank you for your favourites. :)
This new house on the street behind me in my hood is already probably 2-3 years old. I think the pandemic started the financial troubles for these people or something happened as it sat there incomplete for so long. Now it has it's new windows! Yeah! Happy Window Wednesday, ya'll. May God bless you for your kindness in visiting me here.
in formation - did you know that when geese fly in a "v" formation they can fly much faster because the formation makes the flock aerodynamic and gives them more energy.

Happy Window Wednesday/Hump Day!
Even though this photo was snapped awhile go now, the scene was much the same during the day yesterday & the overnight hours as a few inches or so of the white stuff piled up from a nor'easter that just brushed our area.
Just enough to make a slippery mess of our streets & sidewalks.
We have indeed been fortunate so far this year.
