I love all the white clover in this shot...makes me think of warmer days, and it's WANNABE WARMER WEDNESDAY, so here it is! We're getting conflicting reports here of a big snow storm coming on Friday into Sat. Just see on FB that now they're saying we could get 12-15 inches..UGH!!! Only time will tell! Until then have a great day/night everyone and thanks for your visits! Will catch up later!

The first batch of pictures from my shiny new Sony RX 100V.

So far this little camera is pretty damn spectacular.

Jan. 19, 2010, 6:02 p.m. On a cold evening (-12°C), during a cold week, the Running Room store is full of runners who are getting a jump on their training for winter and spring races.

Hardest day of the week: Wednesday.

Anticipation for weekends: 2 more days to go

Enslavery: Less 2 punishing days

Wednesday: Don't know whether to be happy or sad.

This picture caught my attention this morning, not so colorful, and a little rough around the edges, kinda like a wednesday.

Tonight is cold, 36 degrees - The Sunset is half behind the trees, but I'm happy I captured a good portion of the Reds and dark clouds - A Western Cowboy Sunset ! I'm lucky I looked outside at the right moments....

Day 4 of 2016 World Rowing Championships

My friend Debbie told me that her pastor was going to be doing blessing with ash for Ash Wednesday in our little town square. She told me this because I had mentioned that I would love to photograph some people that are being blessed, and/or have the ash on their forehead. I am kind of obsessed with spiritual and religious rights and not being a Christian, I often don't get to witness these events. I also value and respect the sacredness of all traditions so wouldn't crash anyone's party just to get a photo. Anyway, I went down to the square and after asking permission, of course, was able to grab some images of people during and after their blessings. This was one of the images I got of a person I did not know who was willing to let me grab a capture.

This image was taken in full-spectrum with a converted Sony A55. It was taken in RAW and processed in Linux using RawTherapee.

to occupy my time during the bible story, i took photos of the screen. i love series of stills from moving images. these are one second exposures while we sat in the theater.

nokeh wednesday is a group of people's response to the dumb fad of bokeh. personally, i hate the word and the classification of bokeh, it's overrated and misused. nokeh is the absence of bokeh. i think the group made the term up, which is even better.

this is the view outside nick's kitchen window. it inspired an "everything in focus" shot because of all the detail. i bet in it's heyday, that pink and blue backyard had a lot of fun. there's even a pink flamingo. this was shot through the dirty window...which was an interesting challenge to clean up in post processing.
