sometimes i get nostalgic for my youth and i pull out this cheap cassette player (it reminds me of my old yellow sony walkman) and listen to audio books
i still buy cassette tapes here and there-- the audio quality is shit but it takes me back to simpler times before spotify before cd's

Now that JJ is home for the Easter holidays, it was hard to refuse his suggestion to walk down to the seafront after my day at work! I was a bit unsure, as I have now caught Tim's man flu and didn't want to overdo things. But I just couldn't resist! Paying for it now, as my throat feels awful and my head's aching, but luckily I'm now off work for 11 days with annual leave!!

On the 15th August 2021 Class 25 no.D7612 backs onto the 1730 Buckfastleigh to Totnes service. Not often I travel on a train these days but this run with the class 25 was very entertaining and quickly took me back 40 years to Cambrian and the Yarmouths. Recommended,
Itās the middle of the week already- Happy Umbellifer Wednesday!
Not sure if this image worksā¦.I cropped out the only bit that was really in focus which happened to be a dead brown petal on the right hand side which didnāt look greatā¦.but I quite liked what I was left with in the end.
I donāt know why I chose Wednesdays for Umbellifer day because itās my second-busiest day and I donāt always get time for photo-obsessionā¦so with any luck Iāll get fed up with it soon and you can all have an Umbellifer holiday...
Hope everyoneās having a good weekā¦Iāve been busy as usual but on the upside my Fitbit has broken so in some ways itās been the most relaxing week of my life- no judging for having a sit-down for ten minutes! Unfortunately I think itās fixable under the warranty :(
