Miss Teddie and Dagwood enjoying the back window ... had a bit of fun with editing ... mirror view made a fun shot.
A day at the seaside.
We do have rowing boats, but not normally with owls in them, but we do have sailing boats.
We also have seagulls and even dolphins - promise, I've seen them for myself. We also have fish, but, as yet, I've never seen a biplane flying over the beach. "La Patrouille de France," yes - (think Red Arrows).
Just a bit of Wednesday fun.

♫ Nelly the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the car wash. Off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump. ♫
The elephant is the "logo" to the car washing service next to the supermarket.

Happy Windmill Wednesday.
Bonnieville Mill Park. Built in 1837, Bonneyville Mill is designated by the Indiana State Historical Society as the oldest continuously operating grist mill in Indiana.

I saw this glare from the side walk of this office building. The sun was make this balcony light up like a Christmas tree. Doors being locked for wknd. I took photo through 2 sets of glass doors. (very dirty doors) Happy Window Wednesday to all (;-D
i can see why Niagara Falls has captured so many imaginations; it is quite a sight to behold. This was taken from "behind the falls" - a series of tunnels and platforms built in the 40s to view the falls from a closer vantage.
A small window at ground level, though I do think they've got enough security!!
Thank you for your favourites. :O)
Two happy rubbish bins, (trash cans), by the bus stop.
I had to remove the background as there was someone sitting on the bench waiting for a bus and she didn't want to be in the photo.
When I'd uploaded my photos I noticed that there were two bolts on each bin, so turned them into some eyes instead.

A little window and some sunlight. Almost forgotten what sunshine is at the moment. :(

On this week's edition of "Water Wednesday" we see the west bound "JY Local" crossing the causeway near Sanborn North Dakota. They will take the siding in town to allow an mty and a load pass them.
Another rambling story to go with this one.
The first week of the autumn Dakota trip had a few serendipitous moments. The first was running across an RRVW train further east on the Jamestown Sub near Tower City of which I've posted one shot from Buffalo. At Wheatland the RRVW had a rolling meet with the JY local, so we knew to keep our eyes and ears open for this job if we ever returned.
Another serendipitous moment occurred two days later when we happened to return to the Jamestown Sub. While driving towards Valley City, we stumbled across this spot and remarked at how cool it would be to catch something here. But since CP was actually showing signs of life, we eventually perched ourselves up on the hill at Valley City to watch a three-way meet go down.
After wrapping up with the CP and seeing nothing on the BNSF, we figured we might as well check some signals on the Jamestown Sub before heading to Oakes. The nearest one we could easily get to was out at Sanborn. Upon our arrival, it was red, indicating an EB; not ideal but it was a train none-the-less. But almost immediately after making that observation, we heard a horn to the east and were pleasantly surprised to see the JY local. Not far behind was an mty Alma train.
These kind of moments make the hobby fun when it all works out.
The cupboard that Izzy's is sitting on was in the kitchen, but I'll be moving it to the playroom (2nd bedroom) or into the storage cupboard.
It doesn't look right in the sitting room but Izzy has found a great use for it and loves looking out of the window. I'll see if one of our other tables looks OK in here, so Izzy doesn't miss out.

You've probably seen this window before, but I like how it was standing out in the light I had.
