This was taken on a recent trip away. Much more spectacular in reality. Worth a look in large if you have time.

The Múlafossur waterfall on the Faroe Islands

Spotted this tiny waterfall while we were slowly cruising through Glacier Bay.

Also, I'm quite amazed that any vegetation can live in such harsh and freezing cold weather though. 🤔

Have a wonderful day, everyone...

At this point the waterfall emerges out of a hole in the rock face..

Another from a fine day out in Waterfall country with Graham and Mark back in November. This is the lower section of the Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn, which translates to 'Lower fall of the White Meadow'. I have no idea where this White Meadow is as these falls are in a deep gorge!

After the heavy rain over the past few days, I thought the waterfalls might be fast flowing. Alas Not

The waterfall seemed to light up this fallen tree at it's bottom. Why do people want to carve their names in Mother Nature? I find it really dispiriting. I could have taken out the carved names in the bark of the tree but that would go against how it is. Taken at the Henrhyd Waterfall in South Wales.

I chose the wrong time to visit this waterfall, a great lack of water.. there is the remains of an old mill on the site, not much remains and it is mostly covered by the undergrowth.

The Kozjak Waterfall, seen from the viewpoint. It looks very nice, isn't it? :)

The Kozjak Waterfall is a very photogenic 15-metre high waterfall, located in the Soča Valley, at the edge of the Triglav National Park near the town of Kobarid on the north-western Slovenia. The waterfall is created by the crystal-clear Kozjak Stream, a left tributary of Soca River, which springs from several catchment areas high under the 2142 m. high Krncica mountain. It's one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovenia. It's accesible by an easy and very scenic hike of about 25 minutes from the parking. There is a lot of small bridges and a board walk between tall rocks and trees. At the end of the path is the waterfall, hidden in a large open karst cave-like area and falls into green pool nested between dark rocks - it is the setting and colour of the water which makes Kozjak spectacular. It's also possible to swim here, but th water is very cold and refreshing.

Cel naszej wycieczki - wodospad Kozjak, oglądany z punktu widokowego :)

Wodospad Kozjak to malowniczy 15-metrowy wodospad, położony w dolinie rzeki Soča, na skraju Parku Narodowego Triglav, w pobliżu miasta Kobarid, w północno-zachodniej Słowenii. Wodospad zasilany jest wodą ze strumienia Kozjak, lewego dopływu rzeki Soča, spływającą z góry Krnčice (2142 m). Jest to jeden z najpiękniejszych wodospadów w Słowenii. Można do niego dotrzeć łatwą i atrakcyjną widokowo trasą spacerową, zajmującą około 25 minut.

Even though this waterfall looks completely frozen, there was still plenty of water flowing under the ice

Aldeyjarfoss 20210719

Aldeyjarfoss waterfall is fed by a mighty glacial river. The river falls from a cliff that is a major artwork of basalt columns. It is a waterfall viewed by many as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland although it did not make it to our list of 10 most impressive waterfalls. The basalt column surrounding the waterfall is one of the most impressive in Iceland.
