Another shot of the daisies in the unmowed lawn. I'm trying to see how many totally different shots I can get of these little flowers...
When you think you're alone in the woods...
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! My apologies if I cannot reply to all comments. Have a great day!
a heron in the morning sun after a cold frosty night ..... ein Graureiher beobachtet die Weiher ...... ich hatte schon gerechtet damit, einen Graureiher oder Silberreiher anzutreffen und habe deshalb bei meiner Gassirunde das 150-600 mitgeschleppt .....
Sun suffocate the atmosphere
But I'm safe with you far away from you
Another fire through another open door
It's what I'm living for
Breath of mine be all that you need
It's not much from a broken nothing
Wear another truth on your turned-up sleeve
This is everything I dream
Uh uh yeah he-hell no
I am wild eyed and waiting
Uh uh yeah he-hell
I am wild eyed and wandering
Fortunately I have enough of you
You say it's not where we are
It's not what we choose
Looking out from all that you have built
With red skies I will drift
Uh uh yeah hell no
I am wild eyed and waiting
Uh uh yeah hell no
I am wild eyed and wandering
Uh uh what are your dreams?
Uh uh what are your dreams?
You are looking at a handwound 17-jewel pocket watch movement in a dead cheap "Polaris" pocket watch from the Yantai Watch & Clock Factory.
These watches were sold for the breathtaking amount of 75 CNY (equals about 10.40 EUR or 11.76 USD) as souvenirs at the Yantai Watch & Clock Museum.
Considering how much gunk is inside this movement, it is no wonder the watch is that cheap...

Hm.... I am not quite sure this is parrots or not to be honest... Took this shot from Adelaide Zoo, but I normally ignore the sign of the bird name.. hehe... :-P

He is just watching the time go by, it was a great afternoon and the sun was getting ready to start setting.
An evergreen precariously perched on the rim of Bryce Canyon, elevation 9,000 ft, above a stately procession of hoodoos.

Much less processed than you might think, it was taken at twilight with available light. I was once again in a car in Manhattan waiting for the Holland Tunnel, and I looked up and saw this lone solitary visitor from who knows where, staring down on us from a second floor window, apparently keeping a silent but intense vigil, watching for who knows what.
βͺ Martin Gore - In a Manner of Speaking βͺ
In a manner of speaking
I just want to say
That I could never forget the way
You told me everything
By saying nothing
In a manner of speaking
I don't understand
How love in silence becomes reprimand
But the way that I feel about you
Is beyond words
Oh, give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me nothing
Oh, give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me everything
In a manner of speaking
Semantics won't do
In this life that we live, we live, we only make do
The way that we feel
Might have to be sacrificed
So in a manner of speaking
I just want to say
That just like you I should find a way
To tell you everything
By saying nothing
Oh, give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me nothing
Oh, give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me everything
Oh, give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me nothing
Oh, give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me everything

Have a great day and thank you for visiting!
I was sitting in my car watching a ship go through The Heads into Bass Strait when this Silver Gull landed on my car.
It was too windy to get out to take photos, so I was quite pleased when he/she landed and I got this photo :-))
Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.
Itβs been a while since I shared a photo from my Sabi Sands safari, so thought why not post one of its most magnificent residents β the leopard.
This young cub was perched high in a tree, curiously watching us as we watched him. I can only imagine what he thought of the rapid-fire click of all those camera shutters! The more sensible among us (if I can ever be called that π) had our cameras set to silent mode.
It was fascinating watching his mother teach him the essentials of leopard life β how to wrestle, eat, and nap β all safely from the branches above, far from hyenas, photographers, and other distractions. I have such wonderful memories of these extraordinary animals. Nature at her finest.
Today's fun fact: That lovely smell of freshly cut grass? It's actually the grass releasing distress signals! The scent comes from green leaf volatiles β compounds plants emit when damaged, to warn nearby plants, deter grazers, & attract helpful insects.
So maybe Iβm not lazy after all β Iβm just being considerate by not mowing too often π
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Thanks for taking a look, I really appreciate your comments and support.
