With the company rotbox on the point, WJRE takes an extra WAJO out of Warren after the real WAJO got laid in due to snowstorms the night before.
I am attempting the Peter Forsgard 52 challenge on Facebook ... I really don't know why I am, coz I hate Facebook!
Anyhow, this is for week 2, Wide Angle.
Late afternoon the mist came down, so I thought once it got dark, I'd go for a wander around town (Bexhill). But the mist had turned to rain and I got drenched!

I thought it was windy yesterday, but it's much blowier today. Twas easy to walk into town along the seafront, with the wind behind me, but the walk home took twice as long ... and today I remembered to tie my hair up, so no knots and tangles to brush out :))
Anyways, I needed a grand public building for another challenge group, and as we only have the De La Warr Pavilion in the Bexhill, it had to do ... and whilst there, I nabbed myself a daily pic.
Had a wander around the streets of Bexhill, before sunrise and in the rain.
At this point the sun was rising and I was drenched, so time to head home :)

I am doing a project with [https://flickr.com/photos/mandywillard] on facebook which is a 52 week challenge this week is the Golden Ratio. The Bexhill De La Warr Staircase meets this challenge.
Grade I listed. Built in 1936. Architects Mendelsohn and Chermayeff. The hanging lamp was designed for the stair well.
The plate on the floor states . . . .
This plate was laid by the Mayor of Bexhill
the Right Honourable Earl De La Warr on the
6th of May 1935 Erich Mendelsohn & Serge Chermayeff
F.R.I.B.A. Architects"
I tried to get a completely original shot of the De La Warr Pavilion and I have probably succeeded to the point of making it unrecognisable!!
Taken shortly before dawn!
Commissioned by the 9th Earl De La Warr in 1935 and designed by architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff, the De La Warr Pavilion was the UK‘s first public building which was built in the Modernist style.

For my 366 monthly pic.
Today I thought I'd pop into town and pay some cheques into the Nationwide and get this snap.
I've never seen the Nationwide so busy and I queued for ages. It seems there was an app glitch with the Nationwide and some other banks today, and there were a few unhappy people and 1 very upset and aggressively loud man, trying to withdraw money, only he couldn't.
It's been very windy here today, and also blindingly sunny.
Didn't take much to turn this from off white and bright blue sky, into a bit of a grungy black and white and not much in between … sorry De La Warr, but it's about time you had a coat of paint :))

Looking up through the spiral stairs at the De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill-On-Sea.
I've shot this a few times over the years, every time I come back a new angle presents itself.
