Simpático guardia saludándome bajo la lluvia en el Checkpoint Charlie de Berlín, Alemania.
Día asqueroso, gris y mojado en la ciudad, una sensación monótona que se prolongó durante casi toda mi estancia.
Fotografía como el culo por su escasa luminosidad, de hecho estuve a punto de borrarla en cuanto la hice, pero ahora tiene un no sé qué que qué sé yo.
Moraleja: ¡¡nunca borréis las fotos sin dejarlas antes en barbecho!!
El Checkpoint Charlie es el más famoso de los pasos fronterizos del Muro de Berlín entre 1945 y 1990. Se encuentra en la Friedrichstraße, y abría el paso a la zona de control estadounidense con la soviética. Sólo se permitía su uso a empleados militares y de embajadas de los aliados, extranjeros, trabajadores de la delegación permanente de la RFA y funcionarios de la RDA.
La denominación Charlie procede del alfabeto fonético de la OTAN, y es su tercera letra.

Harbour wall at Invergordon in Ross shire..

This incredible image was created on Ikaria Island, Greece. The photographer set up his camera on a tripod, and then took repeated 20 second exposures. He then combined 70 of them into a single frame, creating this stunning image. The photographs were taken over 83 minutes, and the result was this 'wall of lightning'.
I was very excited when I found this because it was the first time I have ever photographed a Wall Brown and the 4th one I have ever seen.

A traditional dry stone wall cuts through a vibrant meadow filled with yellow buttercups near Patterdale in Westmorland and Furness. The rugged slopes of the surrounding fells rise steeply in the background, framing the quiet valley floor. A simple wooden fence runs parallel to the stone boundary, guiding the eye toward a cluster of farm buildings nestled against the hillside. This landscape captures the enduring character of the English Lake District, where human craftsmanship blends seamlessly into the natural terrain.

Found this big guy hanging around one of the corners of the house. As with all creatures small, I didn't know what to expect. Without the larger -than-life magnification it just looked like some uninteresting brown speck of a spider. Thing I love most about macro insect/spider photography: the big surprises in small things. This is an extreme crop and I'm once again pushing the limits of my equipment.
