...to love my camera like i use to, I VOW to stop when i see an amazing location- or just a cool looking tree/sunset, I VOW to take time to do something i love and not just let my camera collect dust when I'm not on vacation, I VOW these things for no one else but myself...and my camera :)
I took this photo the day my Home-slice STACY posted THIS....she is an inspiration to me and hopefully together we can get out of this Creative Funk we are in!! (with our powers combined.....haha)
I am going to visit my sister this weekend and i cant wait for this day to be OVER so i can leave already!! I am soooooo excited to see her and her beautiful family!! So that i can SHOOT them (insert evil laugh- Muaah ha ha) we are gonna have so much fun!!

In our wedding, Lauren made an honest, but entertaining, mistake during her vows. In all fairness, if you listen closely, there's a baby crying in the background that threw her off.
You might have to turn your volume up to fully appreciate what she said, or rather, didn't say.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

I remember going down to these caves really well and had just recently heard Bodhisattva Vow by the Beastie Boys and remember thinking of the song whilst down here.
The following comes from wikipedia....
In the various Bodhisattva vows (sometimes called the Bodhisattva Precepts) of Mahayana Buddhism, the bodhisattvas take vows stating that they will strive for as long as samsara endures to liberate all sentient beings from samsara and deliver them into Nirvana. The Bodhisattva does not seek bodhi (Awakening) solely for him/herself, but chiefly for the sake of freeing all other beings and aiding them into the bliss of Nirvana. This can be done by venerating all Buddhas and by cultivating supreme moral and spiritual perfection, to be placed in the service of others. Bodhisattvas vow to amass inconceivable amounts of merit (punya), which they will dedicate to all other sentient beings, so as to help them attain Nirvana and Awakening. Such great vows are made out of compassion and the bodhisattva devotes his/her powers to helping others attain Nirvana. A fine example of a Bodhisattva vow is found at the very end of the Avatamsaka Sutra by Samantabhadra.
Buddhist lay persons may take the bodhisattva vows in order to initiate their spiritual journey. The following table of the fourfold vow is as practiced by the Chan and Zen tradition. Within Japan the bodhisattva precepts are recognised as being full ordination for all sects of Buddhism.
