This new vortex chamber prototype for use in a chemical looping combustion reactor was fabricated with a 3D printer and will be used to separate coal ash from the oxygen carrier.
~The Vortex Cocktail Ring
This cocktail ring features a beautiful labradorite cabochon with gold and green flash. The ring also has a twisted sterling silver shank, domed base with a surprise pattern on the underside of the ring (in case you are ever looking at your ring upside down!), and more twisted wire around the bezel, and then oxidized in all the right places to create depth and mystery. When looking down on the ring it sucks you in, like a vortex.
In Sedona, AZ vortexes are created, not by wind or water, but from spiraling spiritual energy. The vortexes of Sedona are named because they are believed to be spiritual locations where the energy is right to facilitate prayer, mediation and healing. Vortex sites are believed to be locations having energy flow that exists on multiple dimensions. The energy of the vortexes interacts with a person’s inner self. It is not easily explained. Obviously it must be experienced.
Just like the vortexes in Sedona, an abandoned psych ward must be experienced to know the feeling of being in a place like that.

Vortex form knitty. Knit in a couple of days using two very lovely shades of Noro. It's a quick, fun knit; I love knitting short rows with selfstriping yarn. This made good use of the Noro
This was a practice shot. I didn't think it would amount to anything.
Compositionaly it works for me. But technically it's a poor image.
Here's an instance where the full frame camera would have helped eliminate the noise. The only thing left for me to do is concentrate on focus.
I'll have to go back and try again.
