It's hard to believe it has been 30-years since I last heard my mother's voice.
Her passing is a reminder of the physical and emotional pain and suffering she endured throughout her lifetime. Born with diabetes, she lost her vision when I was just 10-years old but never lost sight of what was most important to her; her son and her daughter.
Godspeed Mom as you will never be forgotten, not in this lifetime or the next.

They're not like peaches or squash. Plumpness isn't for them. They like being lean, as if for the narrow path. The beans themselves sit quietly inside their green pods. Instinctively one picks with care, never tearing down the fine vine, never not noticing their crisp bodies, or feeling their willingness for the pot, for the fire.
I have thought sometimes that something -- I can't name it -- watches as I walk the rows, accepting the gift of their lives to assist mine.
I know what you think: this is foolishness. They're only vegetables. Even the blossoms with which they begin are small and pale, hardly significant. Our hands, or minds, our feet hold more intelligence. With this I have no quarrel.
But, what about virtue?

If you have Facebook you have probably heard the story about the two wolves. Well, recently I have learned how true that can be. I learned of a Wolf that is a predator, plain and simple. Feeding off multiple people yet never true or loyal to any. This my friends was a wolf in sheep's clothing. He pretended to be kind, loyal and dedicated. Yet alas, one mistake and the pack ate him alive. Moral of the story my friends, is that if you are going to date people on multiple avatars that look the same and hang out at the same places on both, make sure not to put the same photo on both of your flickr accounts.JS LOL
