My entire one carry-on packing list for the trip.
My brother and I might have overdone our first day in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Last year’s visit to Oregon came after record high snowfall, so I couldn’t make it out to most of my landmarks. This year, the Mirror Lake trail was high on the list!
We picked up some headlamps and anticipated staying at the summit till after dark, then made the long hike to the halfway point. Mirror Lake is popular with hikers, but barring one or two views isn’t especially scenic. In contrast, the second half of the hike to Tom, Dick and Harry Mountain is stunning — and one of the most exhausting hikes I’ve ever done. It was consistently uphill, and round trip we hiked over 10 miles.
The ridge of Tom, Dick and Harry is tipped with striking rock piles that would make it an inhospitable overnight stay, but the view of Mt. Hood is second to none. Even though Mirror Lake wasn’t reflecting Mt. Hood, the triangle-shaped patch of snow seemed to be trying on its best impression of its big neighbor.
I’m glad we got in this amazing hike — my brother promptly agitated his runner’s knee and wimped out on the trip’s remaining hikes.

After teaching you how I shoot some EPIC waves, I struggle with feelings of inadequacy when I see the size of Michael Shaiunblums new vlogging rig and Hollywood crew. How can I possibly compete with just a broken Spazmo Rocket and a dyslexic Gopro?
To Make things worse, my stalker ramps up the creep factor to dangerous levels but at least Michaels $50k camera ends up in pieces. I finally get my way by confiscating his appropriate footwear.

If you’ve been following my recent vlog videos, you’ll know that I broke my Nikon D850 & I’ve purchased a Canon 200d as a new secondary camera / vlogging unit. I’ve never owned a Canon before, but I’ve been impressed with it so far. I’ve gone over to the dark side...kind of.
This image was taken with the 200d on a stormy winter’s day at Smeale Beach. Ferocious hail and snow storms were being whipped up by gale force winds. The contrast between the deep dark snow clouds above and the frothy white surf being driven onshore was amazing. This was made even more impressive by the burst of Golden Hour light coming in from the left of the scene at the brief moment I captured this shot. An otherwise very ordinary landscape totally brought to life by the weather conditions.

It’s 2020, and yesterday was a day where I grew older by a year. As a matter of fact anniversaries to me are like a author’s commentary, a speech penned for everyone (or just vlogging out stuff)
Every year I’ve come to realize that I’ve been here longer than expected, surpassing half a decade on this platform like the one I have with my Steam account. Life’s been constantly busy for me as I’m doing uni right now, currently I’m doing psych as a major while also making friends around dorm and on campus, and it’s a new chapter of life for me.
Sometimes I hate it for the time being if I’d get to announce something on projects that happens but doesn’t, then there’s no point in it being emphasized a lot It’s giving expectations but not in due time which leads to disappointment. I feel like it’s a mistake in giving a release date.It’s frankly most about me doing reality checks often, so I fave and comment less and I don’t have much of the initiatives to post like I once used to before.
I’ve also moved on from the fact that Flickr’s dying and accepted the state that it’s been in for the past few years but then I’m probably one of those guys who’s still (consistently) trying to pump out content, which remains a disappointment—that’s just how I feel. So for those of you who still want to see my content per usual, I’ll try to make it here if I can, and I’m figuring out a way to get around Instagram as well, despite not being very active. I love this community for what it is and upholds, even if there’s barely new people coming in and more of the mainstays leaving.
For the time being to balance life, I’ve reduced the amount of projects in my workload, so it’ll just boil down to this (I know it’s contradictory about announcements which I said above):
Star Wars: Figuring out how to write the first issue
JM-Verse: Might have a chance to revive that, still toying with ideas
Flickr Fighters: Coming soon(?) still working out on that and some characters/stories
Paladin Ascending and other works previously announced: All related material have been inevitably delayed
And thank you all the birthday wishes, thanks all. With the Corona virus in effect, I hope everyone stays safe, and practicing good hygiene is the most important thing.

This is an image from my recent vlog of Godwin Fine Art Landscape Photography, I spent a couple of hours around Kilnsea on the East Yorkshire coast. Here I photographed an old 1st World War Artillery Gun placement that has fallen into the sea due to coastal erosion. This given me the opportunity to create a light Ethereal Fine Art type of image of the remains of the Godwin Artillery Battery.
The video shows my work flow process and behind the scenes on how I interpret Fine Art Landscape Photography.
Conditions were hard due direct harsh sunlight. But that was part of the aim of this video to show the this style of photography can be shot in any condition and any time of the day.
I often get asked what is Fine Art Landscape Photography? However it is very subjective and down to the individual looking at it. My take on Fine Art Landscape Photography is that it's a genre that goes beyond documentary photography with personnel creative arty style of photography. It evokes emotions and tells stories through visual narratives often focusing on aspects of landscape. Such as using slow shutter speeds to change the look of water giving a etherial dreamy soft magical atmosphere. This why I love Fine Art Photography as it allows me the creative freedom to change the look of a scene and make it my own style!
I live on the East Yorkshire coast, so the last couple of videos have been shot locally.

There is this channel on Youtube called Camera Conspiracies that I've been following for about a year or so. It's about this guy that talks about camera's and camera companies and he is in search of the ultimate camera... for vlogging. He thinks 'photographers' are losers. The channel is funny as hell as he also makes fun of other camera reviewers on Youtube. His target now is Tony Northrup.
He went to Thailand some time ago to heal himself (he also has another channel called Vegetable Police) and to eat fruit all day. He would do camera reviews there in the camera store itself acting like a monkey. It was hilarious. But the fruit was shit and he went back to Canada to sleep on the couch of his momma's livingroom. He would vlog from the livingroom with the unmade bed in the background. Now he has it's own apartment and he also vlogs on the street. He just doesn't care what anybody thinks. Without a doubt one of the more eventful years in recent memory, 2020 has certainly changed the world. People have been forced to reinvent themselves to adapt to new circumstances. Time and time again, something that I've grown accustomed to. With social distancing orders, lockdowns and quarantines in place, living within a bubble of sorts while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy through it all has been the name of the game. Fortunately I live in the northeast and a sense of taking this pandemic seriously wasn't a fuss. I had spent the entire summer returning to one of my happy places, New York Safety Track in Harpersfield, New York. The main straight is a designated air strip called Mountaintop Airport on any other day but when those with an addiction to speed show up it becomes a playground for those that are interested in converting fossil fuel into speed. For those that want to challenge the laws of physics and adhesion that live near NYC, there's no better place for it. Learning how to ride a motorbike fast while at the same time teaching others to do the same was something I didn't realize I could do. I spent my summer weekends coming up to this place.
Harpersfield is situated in a fairly remote part of Upstate New York between the Catskills and the Adirondacks so it's at elevation devoid of light pollution from major metropolitan areas. Like clockwork, you can spot the International Space Station fly over head. And during the summer months at astronomical twilight, the Milky Way says hello. To get a full day's worth of motorcycle riding, we make the trek to NYST the night before. If we leave Jersey early enough we could make the main gate before it closes. Otherwise you end up camping out in the truck to wait til morning. I'd also bring my gear to document the weekend. The Olympus for stills and the Lumix for vlogging.
This shot was the result of cracking open a 6-pack of SixPoint Crisp, remembering what time it was and how to find the Milky Way in the night sky at that time and telling your buddy that you have an epic profile pic idea if he could just sit still on top of his pick-up truck for 20 some-odd seconds. I think the Japanese have a word for it. It's called ikigai.
