Scenic framing of a prominent sand dune and desert hill sloping down towards the water, showcasing the vast and arid nature of the surrounding desert, which extends close to the river in this region. The water reflects the clear blue sky above, which dominates the upper portion of the image.

On the crest of the hill, a series of rock cut tombs - the Tombs of the Nobles - usually called the tombs of Qubat El Hawa, are

carved into sandstone cliffs overlooking the Nile River. An historical and archaeological significant landmark. This meeting of the desert and the river has historically been crucial for Egyptian civilization.

A bird in flight, possibly a seagull, adds a dynamic element to the scene, providing a sense of scale and natural life within this unique ecosystem.

Shot from Aswan west bank, capturing the dramatic juxtaposition of water and desert, fertility and aridity, that defines the landscape along the Nile. A striking contrast between the verdant banks of the Nile River and the arid desert landscape.

When the Rampion wind farm first appeared along our South Coast it stood out like a sore thumb. It was the first thing I saw when I looked out to sea. When I looked at it this morning it had become part of my natural horizon....... and it looked quite pretty with the light shining on it through the dark clouds.

,,,, but the sun never managed to get its hat on. The looming black clouds won, the clouds opened, the rain fell and the surfers went home.

Second picture posted on a two picture Tuesday

Taken as the sun was going down on 28th January 2022 at 16.46

Taken at 07.31 when the rising sun was a huge red ball on the horizon. Far to vivid for a decent image so I waited for the clouds to block part of the brightness.

Taken from the Millennium Bridge the Southwark and Tower Bridges and the Shard.

Threatening skies, light clouds on the horizon, dark flat seas, a redeveloped Black Rock beach and a recycled boardwalk. All we need now is summer.

Aesthetic framing of fallen leaves on the ground of a sandy beach surrounded by stones, pebbles and seashells.

From a mere documentation of reality to a form of artistic expression, falling of a leaf can be an insignificant event when considered in the backdrop of huge changes taking place.. from the colossal explosion and merger of the heavenly objects in the skies to gigantic move of the tectonic plates beneath the earth. There are many more events above and beneath our Earth and the event of a leaf-fall for sure is minuscule. Dropping of a small or big leaf most of the time goes unnoticed.

Even towards those areas that are considered negligible, as is the case here.. Photography takes our consciousness from an inconsiderate situation to make it sensible. It echoes a deeper, more profound narrative.. these leaves whisper tales of transformation, impermanence, and the beauty of embracing change.

This sea at Black Rock was so much calmer than the undercliff path between the marina and Rottingdean. There it looked like the sea would submerge the undercliff path. At Hove seafront the sea was busy relocating the beach onto the pavement.

Perched on a wooden rail with its tail curled like a question mark, this squirrel stares into the middle distance, pondering life’s deepest mysteries:

- Where did I bury that acorn?

- Why do humans wear pants?

- Is the fence real, or just a metaphor?

Captured in glorious detail, this furry existentialist radiates the energy of someone who’s about to start a podcast called “Nuts & Thoughts.” The background blurs, the fur pops, and the vibe?

Pure woodland wisdom meets backyard drama.

Some say it’s waiting for a snack. Others believe it’s silently judging your camera settings. But one thing’s for sure, this squirrel didn’t come to play. It came to reflect, reject, and possibly redirect your entire life path.

My latest photography is now available for purchase at crsimages.pixels.com/, featuring prints, framed art, and more from my curated collections.

Lovely reflections in the water at the wetlands today. This little chap decided to keep very very still while I took some photo's. I think he was expecting a treat for such good behaviour.

The numbers of starlings over Brighton Pier and West Pier has reduced significantly over recent years but they still put on a great show, especially if there is a spectacular sunset. They'll be migrating in the next few weeks and I've not managed to get to photograph them at all this season. I'd arranged a carer so I could get there and take a chance on the weather. The weather was dull but not raining and I did manage to get a tiny sunset on the horizon. Still worth going just to watch their mesmerising display.
