Artist Statement:

Emergency Exit (Please) is a scream staged in stillness. A haunted room both decaying and theatrical becomes a psychological container. The words on the wall are not vandalism, they are confession.

This piece interrogates the aesthetics of mental confinement. The spotlight through the broken ceiling is cruel: illuminating, but not liberating. The broken furniture, skewed angles, and raw textures reinforce a state of rupture.

It is not a room. It is a condition.

This work is part of an ongoing series exploring how internal breakdown becomes spatial narrative how despair shapes architecture, and architecture reflects it back.

️ Artist Statement:

“Cognitive Collapse” is an invocation of the moment before total breakdown the psychic shatterpoint. The figure, half statue, half vaporized code, holds its own head as it disintegrates into geometric fragments. This is not death, but disassembly. An unmaking.

We are architectures of memory, and memory is brittle.

The tension between smooth skin and cracked façade invites the viewer to question where identity lives within the flesh, the pattern, the thought, or the ruin. The open mouth is not just scream or breath it’s the threshold between containment and release.

The work emerges from my larger exploration of fragmented consciousness, algorithmic memory, and the ruins we carry within ourselves.

Artist Statement:

This work is about the scream we can’t post. It is about pain that has no likes, agony that goes viral only in our bones. The figure, semi-synthetic and raw, is frozen mid-eruption a cybernetic martyr halfway between deletion and rebirth. She doesn’t scream for help; she screams because it’s the only proof she’s still inside herself. The surrounding forms represent both internal trauma and external surveillance: digital parasites feeding on pain, made beautiful.

This is part of my #10000HourProject, where I interrogate the space between identity and performance, wound and display, especially as it relates to synthetic femininity and algorithmic consumption.

#RhondaMelo’s alter ego #Melora returns in I’m Not Done Dying Yet, where the #MeloraArtist channels AI, horror, and sculpture into one rupture of identity. A scream digitized in chrome, it anchors her #10000HourProject in emotional spectacle and visual trauma.
