"Solitude in the Gloaming," my intention was to capture a moment of profound isolation and quiet melancholy within a damp, urban environment. This piece explores the stark interplay of a solitary presence against a backdrop of encroaching twilight and atmospheric haze. The foreground is dominated by a discarded fruit, perhaps a pale apple or similar object, lying on the wet, gritty ground, drawing the eye to an unexpected detail amidst the desolation.

The figure, rendered in deep silhouette and facing away from the viewer, stands further down the path, almost consumed by the mist and shadows that shroud the alleyway. Their posture suggests introspection, weariness, or a silent contemplation of the fading day. The muted, cool color palette, dominated by greens, blues, and dark grays, enhances the sense of a damp, somber atmosphere, hinting at rain or heavy fog. It's about finding poignant narratives in overlooked corners of the city, the individual's journey through anonymous spaces, and the enduring power of quiet moments in challenging environments.

In “Threshold Burn,” the hallway bends—not just physically, but psychically. The tilted composition disrupts spatial logic, as though the environment itself is recoiling from what lies through the open door.

The fluorescent palette scorches the senses yellow heat and blue void pull the viewer in opposite directions. The trash, the grime, the industrial pipes all speak to the fragility of built space and the threat of collapse when it’s no longer watched.

This is not just a passage.

It’s a rupture.

What burns more: the fluorescent hum of what’s left, or the impossible clean slate ahead?

"The Archivist’s Last Session" is a portrait of systemic silence. Set in a bureaucratic underworld where water leaks, light rarely enters, and memory decays, this piece imagines a lone chair as the reluctant witness to forgotten testimony. The scattered pages are not just files they're lives once documented and now abandoned.

The chair, centered over a drainage grate, evokes both throne and oubliette. The light shines down like a celestial audit, but no one remains to account. What are we without our records? What survives when the archivist leaves?

This work is a meditation on decay as documentation on the spaces we create to keep truth, and how quickly those spaces turn into tombs.
