Where the Jester Waited is an exploration of corrupted nostalgia and lingering archetypes. In this imagined ruin, I place the modern jester not as entertainer, but as an ancient guardian. The clown here is oversized, spectral, perhaps divine… and wholly out of place. Or is it?
This piece plays with fears that feel too large to name. It invites questions about what we bury in ruins, and who still waits among them.
The jester doesn’t laugh. He watches.
And he remembers who entered… and who never returned.

The Forest Remembers imagines memory as ritual. Each balloon here is not playful it is funereal. They mark the unseen, the unspoken. I wanted this piece to feel as though you’ve stumbled upon something sacred, or perhaps forbidden a path through grief disguised as wonder.
There is no clown here, no child, no body. But you know something happened. And the forest remembers.
This piece continues my study of childlike artifacts as haunting relics, exploring how the innocent becomes mythologized through fear, repetition, and time.

The Inheritance explores the silent rituals passed from generation to generation especially those we don't recognize until it's too late. The girl stands alone in a haunted forest, a liminal space where memory, identity, and history blur. She is not just a child she is a vessel. Her stillness is ritualistic. Her face is unreadable. Is she becoming something... or is she already something we fear?
The lighting behind her suggests revelation, yet it never clarifies only silhouettes. The gnarled trees resemble grasping limbs, ancestral and monstrous. This work is part of my broader Dark Recessions series, a feminist gothic journey that excavates inherited silence and the feminine uncanny.
