The Sepulveda Dam at Night, 2018.
We were out here for a lightpainting session with @ill.lumen.nation. As everyone wrapped up and left, I thought that the dam by itself, without any lights or steel wool, was interesting by itself. So I took this long exposure. It actually took a few tries, because everyone turned on lights as they were leaving, and I had to keep asking people to point their lights away from the dam. Hate those push photographers. 😎

The light seen behind the mountain is caused by the lights from the city. This shows the amount of light pollution coming from the city. This is the reason why we cannot see stars while we are in the city. And this is how beautiful the night sky looks if there is no light pollution.
Dubai is probably on of the places in the world where you can find the most modern and beautiful architectural designs. This is probably one of them.
Before Europeans settled here, the Kiewa Valley was an annual meeting place for six Aboriginal tribes where they gathered to perform rituals and sort out their grievances. They also enjoyed a good feed of Bogong moths that prefer to breed here in the summer months, it's cool this morning at 6°C (42°F).
Kiewa means sweet water.
