NS 188 snakes thru the curves at the south end of Dayton, TN with a little color up front on a dreary day.
An empty BNSF oil train is running on clear signals as it heads west on the main at De Beque, just about halfway between Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction. A rare visitor from the north leads the train on its journey.

This cat visited me several times last week, looking through the window. Obviously the cat knew I was ill and tried to brighten my day, which the cat did! :-)

Now back to HRE Run photos.... presenting a very-well known GT3 RS from Saudi Arabia! This car has over 29,000 miles and is driven the way it was meant to be done.
There was a city marathon last weekend, but i could'nt stop taking photos of the clouds :). The ones in this photo kind of looks like a alien ship landing (in my opinion :) ). This shot is of the Danube river taken from the New Bridge. Created from three photos, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens.
Visitor loco 'River Esk' is seen arriving at Dungeness along with Diesel loco 'Shelagh of Eskdale' working the 1456 from Hythe. Shelagh of Eskdale is on long term loan from the Ravenglass & Eskdale railway, having also been involved in last years gala. Taken during the RH&DR gala 13/5/23. (Taken using a pole)
Standing patiently with a handful of peanuts to attract the Jays, this unexpected and VERY bold visitor showed up - and before long, two more. All three looked well fed and were clearly used to people with handouts. Unfortunately, they kept the birds away so we moved on.

This mother mallard and her ten ducklings are just a few of the local birds who choose to live at the San Diego Zoo. They like the ponds, the feeding times and are so used to people that they walk along the paths among all the people with no fear.
The zoo keepers look out for them; I overheard a message telling one keeper to check on the mother mallard at the Children's Zoo entrance.
Had this visitor in my car the other day. I was just about to move him into the grass when I realized, he owed me a photo shoot first! :-) I was balancing the bug in one hand and trying to shoot with the other.

A visitor from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, Taff Vale Railway 0-6-2T powers into a very busy Goathland station on 23rd September 2022 with a demonstration freight train from Grosmont, during the NYMR Autumn Steam Gala.
I was sitting at my PC right inside the kitchen door, when they just wandered in like they own the place.
It's all good as long as they don't touch the pink curtains!

A narrow slice of focus on Agnes during squirrel patrol.
A dump and run with the post this am as we have both beautiful weather and visitors at the cabin.
We had my little five-year-old granddaughter stay with us at our holiday home in Cornwall for 10 days in August, and we had a wonderful time finding places that weren't full of visitors. This is at Lerryn, a delightful little riverside village a few miles south of Lostwithiel in Cornwall. She didn't catch any fish but had a lovely time trying to.
