Unusual sight (at least for me): a Starbuck's next to a Chinese restaurant near the Metro Bonne Nouvelle (at a stonethrow of the Netvibes office).
Day two hundred eighty-one/365. Standing in the chancel of a church of a different tradition (the chancel is the front part of the sanctuary, near the altar), I caught my own reflection in a container that I assume to be used for burning incense. The container is hanging from the ceiling. This is a beautiful, older church in the mountains. In the background, you can see exposed rafters in the sanctuary. They add to the ambiance of the rugged place to worship.

Dalgayu Dina means “big foot” in Wirdi language, so named because from an aerial shot the clearance in the trees looks like a giant footprint.

We spent a few great days visiting the Mother-In-Law in Stanstead Abbotts this week. I really enjoyed the walk along the River Lee up to the Amwell Nature Reserve with so much to see.

This Beaver house makes a handy resting place for this pair of nesting Trumpeter Swans to take a break from their foraging. The tundra plant derived Tannin in the beaverpond temporarily turns their necks a rusty brown color.
