Caption: I met Manang upon fulfilling my pilgrimage in Guinarona Church, Dagami, Leyte and I noticed that her right eye was always closed. I asked her what happened to it and she told me that the said eye is getting blind due to cataract.
Cataract is known to be one of the main causes of blindness among elderly people and as she permitted me to take some frames of her eye condition, she also shared with me her high hopes that through my portraits of her, some one from somewhere who will be seeing her condition will share heartfelt generosity to help her before her eyesight completely succumbs to blindness.
