Caption: Dr Omar performs cataract surgery on an elderly patient, Bahieh, whilst trainee Haneen looks on. Bahieh, has seen much of Palestine’s history take place. She remembers St John from when she was a child and she used to attend clinics with her father. One thing she can note from then until now is that ‘the quality of care has improved drastically in the past 50 years, this has been the most marked improvement in the hospital, and it is fantastic to see.’ #visionfirst

Caption: 3 years old Priya all set for her second surgery. Priya had congenital Brown Syndrome for which she was operated at 1 year of age. Because of frequent visits to the hospital she grew accustomed to the environment and was very comfortable in the operation theater.
